Yup, definitely trying too hard. They misinformed you at those klan rallies :P

Still want to see those Greb videos so we can see how he passes your #1 criteria, that being the eye test. When you get the balls to post up his videos so you can tell me how he passes the eye test, just let me know. I have a feeling I'll be waiting a longggggg time
So if it's footage you're about, then how do you justify ranking Robinson over Walker?

There's no way he beats Walker.

The film we have of Ray is very impressive, but it's not hard to find a handful of guys who look better.

Don't mean to pick on Oakland...but lets use football as something close to baseball, imo unlike boxing. Kenny Stabler was a mean, tough, smart SOB who could out fox you...Kenny probably had an IQ higher than average, but compare that to a kid like Manning, or one of the other franchise QB's these days: No way Stabler keeps up... no way Montana keeps up. These kids have to have photographic memories, the plays are scripted, they are being attacked by stronger, smarter, faster opponents.

Boxing is different. Fighters today are not better. You can sit down with a piece of paper and look at film and see all the things Robinson could do, as compared to Mayweather.

I don't think Jones had the chin to compete with the light heavies. Tunney would time him. Foster would catch him and hit harder than Tarver. See thats the thing: Fighters who can do it all, and some of it really well are completely different than fighters who can do a few things... As much as I hate to say it, Toney might be an example of this... he could counter the best of them, and you can't counter Jones...too fast. Well, if that had been Toney's role model, Archie Moore, Moore would try to time Roy. Toney couldn't do this.
        Insightful post as always.

I like the points about football and baseball, even I don't completely agree with every point.

As it regards to Jones, yes his competition was poor and he had a weak chin, but the version we got would be handful for most fighters of most eras.
It's questionable how good he would have been in an era absent PEDs, or which tested as seriously as we currently do today.

          Yeah, now it's getting weird.

If you're so reverent of Ray, I'm assuming you must keep a shrine of Lomachenko in your home.

68 the world wasn't quite ready for me yet. I was in the wings, waiting to make my debut. While Mother Earth prepared herself and her beings. I am prettysure that's the year my sister was born, though. Or my oldest brother, and my sister was born in 70. Whatever the case, mom and dad were just working on the prototypes to perfection.

What do your Messican uncles have to say about Olivares and Napoles? Anyone ever bring up a guy named Manuel Ortiz, the forgotten Bantamweight great?

Did that jackass actually say that Greb passes his eye test?

We're dealing with a real genius here.

                  Say what?

It's the footage that YOU'RE about. Isn't the "eye test" your #1 criteria?

So now it's the "feint forgetful" routine, huh? lol.

It's truly unbelievable. And he puts so much stock in "the eye test" that he has Lomachenko as #3 ALL TIME.

I sincerely don't know what to follow that up with.

That's a lot of chutzpah for a guy bragging about no gag reflex.

I still can't get your puke stain out of my carpet!

Safe Spaces, you're the last one who should be criticizing anyone for saying things that aren't true. You're very calling card is a lie.

Now, ofcourse I never claimed Greb passes the eye test. But again, wecan refer to footage of Loughran, Walker, Tunney, Dempsey and Gibbons. It's unquestionable that those are fighters who'd - at worst - win virtual shut-outs over every other top Middleweightever. Robinson included.

I don't have to see a cheetah to know that if it can catch an antelope it's really fookin fast. Faster than any other cat.

Have you ever seen a Bear kill a bison, or chase a wolf pack off a kill? Would you need to see that footage to make the judgement that you, Safe Spaces and every other human that has ever lived, have no business starting sh.it with a Bear because it would destroy you?

It just goes to further prove what we all know about you: you can't go balls-deep, and you can't apply common sense to anything.
