        - -Olympic LH champ and budding novice always considered the lesser Spinks bro to Michael.

The Greatest beat by a toothless novice the worse loss in hvy history.

It's ok to cry yourself to sleep.

Bentt vs Morrison definitely comes to mind. But right after, the fairly unknown Herbie Hide put Bentt into retirement. So that was pretty remarkable.

Victor Galindez looked beastly and hadn't lost in 6 years when he was TKO'd late by Mike Rossman. Rossman had lost to Yaqui Lopez by TKO earlier in the year, so was considered a pretty easy night's work for Victor.

            - -Jess Willard had been somewhat inactive coupled with a late start in boxing, so he was not well known by the public and certainly given little chance against JJOHNSON.

Little Red Lopez completely unknown to the tens of thousands of Africans filling a soccer stadium before whooping the pants off their hometown hero, David Kotay.

Hey there! Have you, by chance, ever actually seen the Lopez vs Kotay 1 fight, as it sounds like you just maybe have? I've never seen it, and every once in awhile, though not any time recently, I put a bit of effort into looking for it on youtube and other similar sites but I can't remember even finding highlights let alone the actual fight! If you know the direction to point me in I'd definitely appreciate it very much

                  - -Never came up in the voluminous youtube mid 2000 era.

Be one of the great fights to watch, but alas, me thinks it's filed away with all the Harry Greb fights.

Go figure. Just the other day I ran into a comment posted on the youtube video for Lopez vs Kotay II that says: This fight happened in Accra,Ghana and was well covered by the now defunct DRUM magazine. The pictures in the article depicted a badly beaten up Kotey. Saddest ending of David Kotey's career was how he was conned off all his earnings in Boxing by the then military government in Ghana. If there is any justice,he should be paid all his money.

I respond telling him that he's talking of the first fight, but besides being wrong on that fact that's possibly the most info I think ive ever heard about the fight!

Ken Norton’s Win over Ali comes to mind.

Ralph “Tiger” Jones was a journeyman when he defeated Sugar Ray Robinson in his comeback fight. While Robinson wasn’t a champion for that fight, he was already considered an ATG.
