People forget about the 1st Montell G fight where he was giving Jones a REAL prob before the DQ. The reason was because MG made Roy take all the chances which he did not like to do, he really gave Roy probs with that jab to body and chest. That's something both Pea and May could take advantage of imo. Either way I agree they are best to turn pro over last 40yrs(class of 80) and would put Chavez next ahead of Manny imo.
I rank Chavez ahead of Pacquiao too. Although I know that many people don't agree.

      - -Ok, we get the uniform ABC rules of scoring rates OFFENSE over defense that Vegas routinely ignores.

Point in fact that greater offense begets greater defense and ring generalship, so where do you live in Vegas?

      Near TUE 50-0 gym?

Absolutely not. He was a very good fighter but there are 5 + fighters who accomplished more then him.

Mayweather is the best fighter since Ray Leonard,

He definitely didn't rely as much on a needle in the ass for his success.

Did not like Sweet Pea at all the first time I saw him but as I watched his later fights I grew to appreciate his mental toughness and brilliance. The guy had heart and a killer instinct. Oddly it was the exact opposite to how I ended up feeling about Mayweather.

He stopped being an offensive threat once he abandoned Jr. Lw.

I am sure even a feather-fisted fighter like Pernell could have been an offensive threat if he were fighting Featherweights. But he never made the massive weight cut, like Floyd did. Turning up the offsense against guys like Hernandez and Corrales really isn't that impressive. Great performances, but nothing that make me consider Floyd's power anything special.

Look at Ray Robinson. Considered the greatest offensive fighter of all time - because his career was built on fighting men half his size. Harry Greb's KO % is abysmal - because he spent his career fighting men 2x his size.

Which impresses you more? The guy that the Heavyweight champion refused to fight, or the guy who quit when fighting a larger opponent because he got hot?

              Great point.

Jones' KO% ain't bad, but it's nothing historically impressive. It's largely built off of hacks.

Jones looks FANTASTIC in highlight reels. But watch his fights, then watch Chavez... there's several tiers between them in quality. Jones and all his steroids couldn't hold Chavez's jockstrap.

A fighter like Rosario would have ****d Jones. A fighter like Camacho would have brought all Jones' game****s into the ring and stood there grilling up chicken tacos, and Jones still wouldn't have been able to find him.

Jones really appeals to casuals who don't know what's going on. Chavez is for the experienced fan. It's like comparing Basketball to Football.

Mayweather has never been served any suspensions or has had any drug charges against him.

I have manny in the top 5 best fighters p4p since Leonard actually, but he isnt better then floyd - not by a long shot. Getting put to sleep multiple times and getting outboxed on multiple occasions does that.

Do you even know what an I.V. is?

Testing yourself against bigger men, w/o special qualifications will have that result.

I cannot remember Mayweather ever scoring the vicious knockouts (or just generally bringing the violence) that Pacquiao is known for.

If Mayweather tried bringing the fight to Golovkin how do you think it would go?

Don't hold Pacquiao to one standard, and Mayweather to a lesser one.

Fenech got to know Pea well in the Olympics and was scheduled to fight him professionally but for the fight falling out for the usual reasons.

Interview was tributes to Pea. You gotta prob with that?
No probs with ANY tribute to Pete, but Fenech was NEVER scheduled to fight Pete have no idea where you got that from. He got beat trying to win 130pd title from Nelson(which he should have won in 1st fight)after that he was done.
