--- Boxing a tough sport overflowing with corruption.

I'm here to set the record straight where it needs to be. Big John Tate's knockout of Coetzee in SA trumps anything Lar ever did in boxing.

Coetzee was a nothing. Tate was a nothing. Neither were hwt champion. Both were mere contenders at a time where a contender could call themselves a champion. Larry would beat both on the same night easily. And I am not a Holmes fan.

--- yer Holmesy is a single beltholder with a title record of 1-5 against standing champs holding a title.

And the one he beat never won a title match, being upgraded by the WBC after a strippage and most of the public thought he lost that single point split decision.

Yeah, lotta pain being a fan of the guy Bobick KOed, but not to worry...Norton avenged the Bobick score for your faint hearted so called Rocky wannabe...only in boxing fandom...

Same crap you spewed 20 years ago on aol boxing. Beat the crap of you then should I even bother now?

Holmes was the true and legit hwt champion. Tate and Coetzee along with Page, Berbick, Thomas, Smith, Witherspoon, others were only contenders who were lucky to live during a time where contenders could call themselves champion. NONE were ever for even a second the hwt champion.

Holmes beat everyone aside from M Spinks. His second bout with Spinks IMO was the biggest robbery in hwt boxing history and I was rooting for Spinks. Bouts after his second Spinks bout were Holmes going through the motions way past his prime. He knew the hwts were so heavily talent diluted (as did Foreman) that even a shot Holmes could be competitive.

Write something with some understanding of boxing! Same **** you were trying to portray as knowledge 20 years ago. All complete garbage.

--- boxing the toughest sport requiring essential natural attributes and an elemental fightin instinct.

You display all the instincts of a flailing washerwoman with none of the feminine guile, a horrible set of traits.

Alas, poor Houdini, I knew him well and sadly he could never fight his way out of a bag of popcorn.

Good enough to beat the living crap out of you that's for sure. Making things up as you do will never be confused with historical accuracy.

--- Are you challenging tubby Lars record of 1-5 against standing champs?

... Only by Houdini on this forum...

In his first career which is the only one that should count. He koed L Spinks, beat Ali and lost twice to M Spinks. That's 2-2. Post Spinks 2 he lost to Tyson and Holyfield. That's 2-4. You are as you were 20 years ago the village idiot.

--- They weren't standing champs holding a belt Einstein.

When they held a belt yer boy was 1-5. Even Leon has a better record than that!

They needed to be hwt champion first. All were just contenders for the most part. Aside from this fact Larry post Spinks 2 wins or losses should not be considered. He was wayyyyy past his prime. Under normal circumstances he never should have been fighting....anyone.
