Once Mayweather hits rockbottom, if it ever gets there, he can just as easily go the Tyson or Holyfield route and make a lot of money with speaking tours, appearances, autograph sessions. Licensing his name to items.

Mayweather does not have the charm. Tyson reinvented himself. Tyson is actually an intelligent thoughtful human being. I don't know about Mayweather I guess time will tell.

Mansions are very expensive to maintain (so I hear). One mansion owned by east injuns is stocked with 600 servants. This mansion is a 40 story high rise occupied by a single extended family of one of the richest east injuns.

As Floyd recently found out, you have to have a caretaker for mansions while you are away. You need grounds keepers and gardeners to keep the value of the real estate up. Car collections are big drains, too. They require top experts to maintain them. We do not think Floyd is personally changing the oil on his car collection. What he is doing is personally paying for it, though.

Reports make it transparent that Mayweather has probably learned nothing about holding onto money. The 500k a month drain off Billy boy came up with might not be too far amiss.

In the case of a Mayweather being helped by a much smarter person at something he can barely follow, that must for the advisor become a gigantic temptation. The man sent to help you can so easily help himself from your coffers, that he often probably does.

I believe anyone with a few decades left in them has a good chance of reading about a broke Mayweather somewhere ahead in the future. Like Red said, he may still be rich. But it will be an ordinary rich rather than a ****** rich.

It is deceptive how fast wealth can dissopate. In fact, saving is a scam in my opinion... something I have tried to explain to my mother, as Dad just left us for his heavenly abode. Rich people tell others to save, but its not what they do. If your not generating income you are losing income, there is no in between. I know I say this over and over, evangualize it! But I was caught suddenly when my mother in law passed many moons ago with absolutely NO financial knowledge, ziltch, nada, I thought REal Estate was the Spanish name for reality!!! lol. (Burmmm ching!!!)

In my case I read everything I could in about six months and it all sounded pretty useless until I found a contrarian who changed my perspective. when one "saves" they are taxed to death with inflation. Inflation is the only thing that can compete with the thugs that take taxes off of a man's earned income... If you do not believe me, imagine for a second if you have 10k in a mattress that you have hidden since 1960. What if I gave you one magical day when those dollar were worth what they were worth the day you put them in the mattress to be saved. Even most returns you got if you invested the money would hardly bring you that much value. at 12.50 that 10k would be worth around 120k. What investment would keep you in position to offset that return? Lets not forget the tax man.

So generate income! Or lose income, no inbetween

Tunney had the class to attract even had he not been heavyweight champion. Dempsey could hang out with anyone he wanted, but it was because he was a famous champ. Same with Mayweather. He could never attract the top class of people on his own merits without boxing.

Of course degrees alone cannot guarantee intelligence. Why, the Klitchko brothers are pasty white and have Phd's, but you would be hard pressed to find their brains without a magnifying glass. Nathan Cleverly has a degree in mathematics. Now that is practically an alternate definition of intelligence. And that ain't sports science or gender studies, either, baby. Any kind of degree in mathematics means you are facing material most people could not handle even if their children's lives depended on it. Come to think of it, they kind of do.
