I don't really know if these guys would be considered top historians, possibly someday, but their opinions seemed solid and not really biased IMO, so I figured I'd quote them.

And maybe heavily was too strong a word, so I'll revise that to say criticized somewhat.
    Chris Mannix not biased?

Loads of fighters didn't beat prime ATG's. It's not a regular thing to do.

Pernell Whitaker never bear a prime ATG.

Joe Louis never beat a prime ATG.

Carlos Monzon never beat a prime ATG.

Alexis Arguello never beat a prime ATG.

Eder Jofre never beat a prime ATG.

I could go on for days.

Load of great fighters never beat prime ATG's and also theres fighters that aren't great that beat prime ATG's.

What Mayweather did in his career was consistently beat top fighters. He consistently beat guys ranked in the Top 5 from 1998-2015.

Uh yeah, I already revised that statement. More like criticized somewhat. Well now you know. And knowing is half the battle. Yo Joe!

Why do you always pick apart something unimportant rather than the main point? So I ask you, what prime ATGs did Floyd beat in his career. Not hall of famers, but ATGs.

You could, but shouldn't. Were there a lot of guys in those boxer's careers that they should've fought, but didn't? And Whitaker should've got the decision against Chavez, you know that. It IS something he could've done by fighting Pacquiao sooner. His resume isn't as good as other ATGs and that's the point. If you want to argue otherwise, then I really don't know what else to say to you.

Weren't you also the same guy who said James Toney was never that good?

Feel free to go on for days though if you wish. I could use more good laughs.

So who did Joe Louis not fight that he should've in his prime? Because there are at least 5 for Floyd.

The best possible opponent in their prime. For him, that would've been Pacquiao in 2010.

Course he should but Chavez wasn't in his prime then.

Ok but still the fact is is that It's not a regular thing to beat a prime ATG. Loads of great fighters didn't.

Now you are moving the goalpost, which prime ATG should Floyd have fought? I only see Pacquaio and why that fight didn't happen earlier is another story all together.

Well yeah I agree with you on that his resume isn't as strong as other ATG's but what is your point?

                    No I never said that.

I said he's overrated and not an ATG.

                      Why change the question?

What prime ATG did Joe Louis beat?
