    Len Wickwar's most fights (470)
    Len Wickwar's most rounds (4014)
    Len Wickwar's most wins (340)
    Billy Bird's most knockouts (138)
Harry Greb's most wins in one calendar year (45 in 1919)
    Reggie Strickland's most losses (276)

... and the most amazing (IMO) record of all: Jack Britton's 342 fights in a row, without a single ko defeat!

No fight will ever come close to floyd/manny.. If it does, probably won't be a boxing fight but an mma fight
Those are promoting records, not BOXING records.

Yngwie is right. Those are promoting and marketing records, which is exactly why they will be broken. Boxing itself may be in slow decline, but the opportunities to market it to new audiences offers the promise of expansion anyway. When the right two fighters come along they will break Manny and Mayweather's PPV and purse records. It is a cinch. Those records may last 25 years at tops.

Think. Their record did not even have any relevant world politics involved to boost sales. What will happen when two great fighters that represent polar opposites politically are grabbed up in the media frenzy of a great fight? Suddenly they will be political symbols, which neither Manny or Mayeather ever were to their respective rooters on a deep level. Manny now being in government means nothing. It is exactly as empty as if Mayweather had run for the U.S. senate and won a seat.

Some of the real boxing records listed here will be impossible to exceed, but I expect all promotional and money records will fall after a while, given, if nothing else, the simple fact that the value of money keeps falling and a candy bar costs 25 times what it did when I was a young kid. We used to pay a nickel for a Butterfinger. All money records eventually fall in every category, not just boxing.

8-division champ record getting beat. Could've been more regarding two light weight classes being skipped & MW not being attempted.

They may get broken one day. Especially factoring in inflation.

Just need two big boxing stars...

Last I checked boxing has zero stars that can break a million,,, let alone 4 mil

Canelo is the biggest star and cotto his biggest opponent and couldn't even break 900k..

Like I said, record will be broken but not by boxers, it will be an mma fight

                    Lawd. Had to slide MMA.

There are going to be other boxing stars. Wait a good 3-5 years and someone will be there.

Definitely won't be an MMA fight. They haven't even broken 2 mil let alone 4.

                    Wait and see.

Really??? Name the 3-5 year period in the history of boxing that didn't have stars?

Name the period in boxing when they only had 1 legit drawing star?

Boxing fans in such denial about mma.. Ufc is going to have half a dozen million plus selling PPVs in the past 12 months, boxing has zero,,, and somehow fanboys think "3-5 years we will get a star" and are oblivious to the fact that boxing is horribly run produces no more stars and mma runs smooth like a legit sport and constantly produces new drawing stars.

I'm a much bigger boxing fan than I am an mma fan, but you can't be blind to how horribly ran boxing is and how it's basically dead to the general public in North America.
Casual fans tuned into a lot of huge fights for boxing but are usually disappointed, while casuals tune into big fights in mma and they are usually pleased. Hence why ufc PPv numbers are thru the roof and boxing has dwindled to historic lows
