Are you your name because you are born in 1956?? [Me TOO! : )//July!!]
Yoo.....you DO NOT come into BoxingScene forum too often. Notice! Are you Registered at any other boxing forums? Admin here seem "Super" (thus far! I mean....Battling Nelson impressed me!). BoxRec is a top Forum but....BoxRec is "ban happy".
O.K., your question: 1) I think it's fairly obvious PacMan done "greater" w/his career. 2) You've had 8 votes to now. Of course mine must go to truth Holyfield who I voted in 2Nd place! : )
2-b) You know, "ANYONE" can vote on your tail-gate here! Every "Bringer" Registered on the forum site. NO ONE WITH A REAL NAME! HOW DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO IS A "CASUAL" WHO IS SERIOUS?
["Bringer", to be absolutely FAIR, is a "cheap Ass houl"/*punk in every respect of the word.... but...still...he maybe knows boxing history some-what! *punk in my book means "class-less" individual who CAN'T FIGHT! : ) I must be "taking a chance" SAYING, RIGHT? : )]["Bringer" is Class-less all-right!, can he fight? Probably "couldn't" but anyhow at least I KNOW 1/2 of this correct!]
Obviously PacMan the "greater entity" here! LOVE BOTH BOXERS! Holy a greatly rated HVY.-wt. really a true over achiever!

Very close, but i gotta say manny..

His rise thru weight classes was amazing, and in some of his biggest fights, he was absolutely dominant i.e. barrera 1, hatton, cotto, bradley..

Holyfield. Greatest cruiserweight of all time. Manny isn't the greatest in any weight class.

Well Cruiser isn't a historically deep division... especially compared to welter, feather, etc

True but I think he blows every cruiserweight out of the water which is more than I can say for Manny at any weight.

I don't have him beating a prime Jones Jr at CW though..
Not much quality at that weight, like it was said

And especially since Holyfield was part of the start of what was called junior heavyweight back then.

P4P of course Manny is ranked higher.

I think Pacquiao is amongst the best feather and super featherweights I have personally ever seen.

Does he have some of the most impressive wins? Yes. Is his resume as deep as others? No.

But if you want to move up in weight, it's impossible to have the deepest resume as well. What he did in terms of moving up and challenging the best in each weight except for JMW, was better than beating the rest of the guys at the individual weightclasses.

                    Quite simple.
