That's what I was thinking. If he is gonna stop Ali, it would be late. But I wouldn't bet on it.

              • This time, I do expect Ali to be the winner (if they actually fought, not because Butterfly says so), although it would be difficult. But Sonny Liston, not only beating Rock 4 out of 4 times, but knocking out Rocky in 1 round is absurd.

Agreed. I think Ali is too fast and too adaptable for Louis with too good a chin.
And Liston flattening Marciano in 1 like he did patterson is absurd.

                      Here is our ring announcer!

Mark Conn: You know the rules of the Texas State Athletic Boxing Commision. Protect yourself at all times, and break when I tell you to break. Any questions? Shake hands and come out fighting.

Once again since we all know Ali's history in rematches, the odds are still at 1 to 1. Many people feel that Ali will come back and win this one.

Round 1: Ali comes out dancing and on his toes. Ali shoots the left jab peiodically and keeping away from louis, who has made himself lower to crouch and bully ali around the ring. Ali shoots a hard one two and circles the ring out of reach. Louis follows ali around landing a few body shots. Louis is trying to corner ali, and ali uses his superior reach to keep louis off of him. Ali has his hands high up near his face, probably out of respect for Louis' puncvhing power. He usually dangles them at his sides. Louis lands a few blows, but ali is not bothered, and he lands enough jabs and right hands to win the round: Angelo Dundee is giving ali's instructions, and so is Blackburn to joe.

Round 2: Louis is the pursuer still and jabs ali in the face. Ali counters with an overhand chopping right. Louis shoots a fast one-two that is short of the mark, and ali counters with a quick one two. ali jabs louis in the face and louis starts firing back jabs. ali throws a right hand, but louis blocks it and moves in with a left and right to the body, and ali ties him up. ali is on his toes trying to keep away from louis: Louis' eye is puffed a bit, and "Chappy" is applying ice to it.

Round 3: Ali keeps moving, on his toes, and his hands ready to conter Louis' left jab. Ali now changes his style and is croutching low, whilst moving back. Louis is baffled at this stance by Muhammad and he doesn't know what to do. Louis rushes him, but ali scores with the right hand from a wierd angle. Louis tries to answer back but he mises and ali ties him up. ali goes back into his wierd stance and is backing up. They both clinch and ali frees up his arms and tagges Louis face a few times with left and right while they are in close. Louis rushes ali again, but ali moves back and judges the correct distance: Blackburn is showing joe what he can do to cambat that wierd stance.

Round 4: Louis moves in cutting the ring off and ducks under a jab and fires a jolting uppercut that ali walks through. Ali is now out of his funny stance and is once again circling to the left with great speed and shooting lefts and rights. Louis gets in some head shots and ali keeps louis away with his reach. Louis does a good job of blocking some of ali's right hands, but most of them are still getting in: Blackburn is applying ice to Louis' eye.

Round 5: Louis uses his left hook more and pursuing ali relentlessly, while ali uses his jab and counters with a straight right when louis fires the left jab. Louis jabs ali, and ali jabs back. they now get into a jabbing battle, and louis gets a good combo in that stuns ali. louis moves in to finish, but ali ties him up. ali is still on his toes, but is lacking the speed he had in the fist round. louis is getting in some good jabs, and ali is up against the ropes as the bell rings: Louis face is well marked, but suprisingly ali's is not.

Round 6: Ali is flatfooted now, and concentrates on countering louis' left with his right, as Max Schmeling did. ali does an okay job with this, as he is able to slip the jab and counter with the right. ali gets in some good blows that rock louis in this round: Louis is a bit worn from swarming ali, so blackburn is working him over.

Round 7: Louis moves in and jabs ali, and muhammad counters with a right. Louis throws a left hook to the face that connects. Louis shoots hard left and rights to the body, and ali ties him up. ali is still flatfooted, looking to counter with his own right. Louis uses his left a lot in this round: Ali's face is a bit marked but it is barely visible.

Round 8: Ali is back on his toes and louis is stalking him. Joe throws a right hand that misses. Joe is not moving forward as fast as before. Joe is a little fatigue from chasing ali across the ring. This is not something he's used to doing. Ali boxes around louis in this one, peppering his face with jabs and counter rights: Louis looks real tired in his corner.

Round 9: Ali is on his toes circling and popping that jab. Louis' shots are a bit weaker, and ali knows this. ali sits on his punches now, feeling he an go for the knockout. ali gets in some hard vicious shots that rock louis. A left to the body and a right cross stun louis, and a left and right hook, followed bya left jab, a right cross, and two left uppercuts, worry joe. Joe is now trying to avoid the punches, but they are lightning fast and joe can't seem to get out of harm's way. joe fight's back with some body shots, but ali walkes through them and counters with a double right and louis is rubbery-legged. ali moves in to finish, but the bell rings: Blackburn is trying to revive joe, and ali is a bit tired, but ready as Dundee gives him instructions.

Round 10: Ali is still flatfooted and is just looking for the right time tothrow the leather. Ali shoots a left jab, followed by a right uppercut as he was moving back. louis throws a wild right hand that misses, and ali counters with a short, fast sharp right to the chin and louis is down! It's a flash knockdown, but it's a knockdown nontheless, and louis jumps up at the count of one. The referee is giving him the count as the crowd is on their feet, cheering ali! The fighters resume and ali is throwing a lot of punches and louis fights back with shots of his own, but two lefts and a big right send louis down again! Louis is up and 5 and takes the 8-count. Ali throws a left hook and a right and louis is down again! Louis is up at 7, but he is glassy-eyed, and Conn waves his hands, signaling the fight is over! Ali has won and takes the 2-1 series lead!

Michael Buffer: The winner by tko 2 minutes into the tenth round, Muhammaaaaad Aaaaaliiiiiiiii!

The crowd is very happy. Let's go to the post fight press conferences.
