About myself, I do think I’ve written some good posts. And I’m aware of, I’ve written some (or more) meaningless ones (especially when I’ve been drunk).

I’ve come to respect a lot of writers here (there’s a lot of knowledge on this forum). But, I must also confess, I enjoyed the “trolls”. The provocation they create often lead to a powerful debate which in the end humiliates them. But they did put the subject on the agenda.

(The trolls most often are KO’d by Ray Corso, but they’re to dizzy to understand it.)

I really liked it a few years ago when I was new to the forum and it had posters like irondan, Joseph, scott, jabs, poet, bolt, greeh, Ray Corso, New England, Ruben, etc that's when humean was the polarizing one, but he was never attacking, just opinionated... Now we have a bunch of trolls

I'll be doing my best to stay out of trouble, but feel free to set me straight if I wander from the righteous path. I don't forsee to many problems though. Since I was last here I've gotten Married, had a beautiful daughter and my work has become very time consuming. I'll post when I can, but I simply don't have to time to be on here like I use to.
Cong**** on your marriage and kid too mate! Had my first, a little boy, in your 'break' as well. Most incredible, amazing thing I've ever done by far. I still can't get over it a year later. Crazy how fast they develop and you can lose hours and days just watching them play and do little baby stuff...

I have this to say to you and Jabs: One day you wake up, it seems like yesterday they were in diapers and they are going off to college... It is a very intense feeling. I made many sacrifices to spend a lot of time with my kids and I wouldn't have it any other way. I could have been Dr Simon!

Just want you guys to know that its a wonderful experience and even though its the toughest job in the world, for which perhaps nobody is truly qualified, Love and time spent with them is all my kids have ever really needed.

I already sort of know what you mean. It feels like yesterday that he was just a little bundle that couldn't do much of anything, now he's zipping about the place. Getting into all sorts of mischief and mayhem, nearly walking, first words etc etc.

It just went so fast, so I can imagine what it must be like when they're suddenly off to college and getting into a whole different type of mischief.

I tell ya what though Bill, nothing I have ever done compares to this. All of my 'achievements', career stuff...everything...nothing compares to it. Luckily I've got a job where I can spend quite a lot of time with him, particularly at his age, so it works well at the moment.
