You don't have social graces do you? Its obvious from your posts what your opinion of this poster was/is. The man can't defend himself as said, so to start a debate is unwarranted...

BKM from cong**** on your "history" I enjoy your posts regularly.

      ^Thanks bro, likewise.

I loved GJC's posts, I didn't realise his advanced age untill we learned of his passing. He was also active during a time when there was a lot of arguing going on. He never lost his cool and always tried to cool things down by sticking to the topic and sharing his wisdom. He was pure class.

He saw Ezzard Charles live in attendance.

GJC's knowledge of the sport was second to none. By far the best poster I ever encountered he was many years my elder but like yourself I didn't know that until many years later.

The respect he has on here speaks for itself.

          I'm suprised by the response.

That's the first time I've ever seen a bad word said about GJC.

The remeberence thread shows that regard he was held in by all of the top posters on here.

Before I posted on a boxing site I used to write a lot of boxing articles, I have a bunch of them on another site which I guess one cannot mention or the censor program gets triggered. While writing I enountered a man whom some of you might know...Joe Rein. Joe recently passed and I considered him, like many writers more talented than I, a mentor.

Joe introduced me to posting inadvertantly! I just went to the boards one day, after seeing a response to an article I wrote, and liked the idea of an open dialogue with others and started posting. I still write the occasional article but find that most writing is stale and pedantic. If you read Joe's stuff by comparison...lets just say he set a very high bar!

So I really think it is a great thing when posters get together and honor one of their own. Joe was very much to me like a first rate poster I suppose!

If anyone ever wants to see some of Joe's writing just google "joe rein" btw he wrote a great article (very funny) on James Toney! of all people lol.

Actually heres the article on toney one of my favorite reads

Speaking of trolling, back in 07 or so Thread Stealer was trolling Vitali Klitschko fans something fierce, it was so hilarious because he has great wits, actually a lot of boxing knowledge especially the history so he was clearly doing it for fun. This was right before Vitali's comeback. I still remember how every post was "Vitali only fought old or fat opponents, or old and fat opponents". Sad thing was, he was actually mostly right about Klitschko at that time LOL.
Ah never realised that was you, wasn't you a part of Rooster's boxing group who made videos (BoxingUnion I think) ?, forgot about Thread Stealer , mad seeing as next too Scott he always had the best avi's from what I can remember.

Yes I was(before the channel got deleted from youtube) and my T15 boxing videos are still floating around on youtube too. Were you also in the boxing union group of highlight makers?

Doubt it's Poet. He always says "Poet" at the end of of his posts.
Nah Ziggy was Poet n I didn't forget him I just didn't feel like mentioning him , the guy did my head in, after I had him in a ''debate'' about Monzon everytime I posted he called me a moron that knew nothing of the sport and hung off Monzon's nuts, this was all because I put up an argument for Monzon being a top 5 Middleweight and he did nothing but insult me when I asked for his rebbutal as to how Monzon wasn't in the top 5. I actually left for a little bit because I couldn't post anything without him sticking his nose in, then had too leave for personal reasons n think I missed a year or so, when I came back he was still going on about it.
Although before that we got on fine, think he must of got possessed or something.

Boxing videos were really fun to make but it took too much time so I lost interest. I think most of the other fellas felt the same. Rooster did make a couple of videos from time to time more recently though, one of Marciano of Tyson I believe.
