Archie Moore was tough and most likley better than anyone Ali faced in ythe late 60's in his prime however being so short was less of a threat ,Jacobs wasnt a giant ,Wilt would have had an easier time with Folley or Mildenberger than Jacobs with Moore . For one i think Wilt wins those fights, buts its only speculation ,i would still bet Wilt as a more challenging opponent for Ali based on real life physical stats and a pro athletic guy known to excell at all athletics..
LOL.. Ali vs Wilt was never serious. it was a "Joke senario" never going to happen. Yet here is you and your clown of a buddy, making a foolish, laughable case that Wilt would win. It is like the actor "The Rock" fighting Floyd Mayweather... it would be a mismatch!!

Wilt may not win ,he certainly puts up a better fight than an aged 200 pounder who needs to lung to remotely make contact with Ali which Folley did and actually won the first 2 rounds..lets just forget the 90 plus inch reach Wilt has no business in there, lets put a handicapped Williams in though who doesn't even have mobility...the only joke as usual is on you, everything goes over your head its remarkable....

Put Roberto's Duran's brain into Wilt's body and train him under Cus D'Amato and hell no, Ali would have no prayer.
you are fooling yourself if you think Wilt under Cus doesn't go in there to fight....competitive attitude beats street attitude anyone can be a street tough.Take Cus out of the picture Wilt doesn't remotely succeeed however,no matter how tough or naturally skilled he is.

According to everyone Wilt played against in basketball, he was far stronger and more agile than any other player -- and any other athlete in any team sport. He was also a track star in college. He was competitive in everything he did, even chess. He was probably the greatest athlete in history. I'm sure this is why Cus D'Amato wanted to train him into a champion. Hell yes Wilt could learn to jump rope, hit a bag, throw a punch, slip, roll, whatever he wanted. He was quick and graceful with his hands and feet. He could dunk a ball so hard that it would bounce back off the floor and injure people. Look it up.

But he didn't have the killing desire that a fighter needs in the ring. He wasn't interested in hurting people.

Ali would probably have to learn how to hit to the body, though, in order to beat Wilt.
You really don't believe Frazier could have beaten Wilt.. No way!

Frazier wins easily. The reason: Joe actually knows how to fight in a boxing ring. That's a concept which escapes size queens like yourself.

Imagine wilts lower organs and ribs after a few rounds with Joe and could he hit a Bob and weave type fighter?

              • Wilt could win with training IF he could land a big punch fast. Otherwise the guys with lifelong skills would break him down pretty quickly. Especially to the body, to the liver, etc.

I don't think Wilt wanted to kill anyone, which is what could have happened if he landed a monster punch. But that was not his personality, not even remotely.

Yes, there were very gentlemanly boxers (Gene Tunney, Alexis Arguello) who viewed pugilism from an almost purely scientific perspective, but most guys additionally have blood thirst in combat. Think Duran.

                • Damn...........still going at it I see!

Some people have to much time on their hands!

Can you imagine Wilt swinging upper cuts to try and hit Frazier hahahaha

ok I can't follow this crap anymore ..........Jabbar vs Wlad Kickboxing!

                  Wlad 6'6" 245lbs
                  Jabbar 7'2" 265lbs

Jabbar KO 1 rd. over Wlad and Vitali while Vitali stands in the corner hahahaha

                  • Giants Tourney

                    1 Nicolai Valuev 7'0"
                    2 Wilt Chamberlain 7'1"
                    3 Angus McKaskill 7'9"
                    4 Vitali Klitchko 6'8"
                    5 Vladmir Klitchko 6'6"
                    6 Tyson Fury 6'9"
                    7 Bill Russle 6'9"
                    8 Michael Jordan 6'10"
                    9 Jess Willard 6'7"
                    10 Rocky Marciano 5'10"

One loss eliminates a contestant from the tourney. How does the fighting proceed, according to the ...ahem!...esteemed gentlemen of the board?

In the first bout Angus McKaskill has eliminated Nicolai Valuev by one punch KO.

The next bout up is Marciano vs Jordan, where a one foot height differential is in play.

All this busniness of "what if Wilt or so-and-so had trained for years at boxing, is not the discussion. They have about four months to get ready and learn boxing, not years and years, or the discussion meanders and leaves its point.

Marciano chops down Jordan (who in real life is 6'6) rather quickly.
