i can assure you i will not be addressing any question you put to me. Reason being, that your whole agenda on this forum is and always has been to "close down" a debate on boxing... i have tried many times to debate with you, i tried here on this particular thread. But as always, you make condascending comments until you close down the debate. You post those kind of comments when you are coming worst off and cannot find the answers to reply with...Comment

You are forgetting that Jooeyzagz is what is known as a "Size Freak".. ie "My dad is bigger than your dad"Comment

In a sense you are correct. But Lewis never had any intension of fighting a rematch with Vitali Klitschko. Lewis promised the entire boxing world that he would fight a rematch, boasting. "One Brother for breakfast, The other Brother for Tea"... Yet he dragged out his reign for nearly 9 months, with the WBC deadline only 2 days away from him being stripped of his last remaining belt. He announced he was to retire.Comment

Right, but he still retired before he was stripped. Vitali Klitschko just did the same thing so he could also retire as WBC Heavyweight Champion as well. I'm sure others must have, as well. Fighters get old and then before their next defense sometimes decide to retire as champ. Some come back, knowing they'll probably lose, but take the payday, like Sergio Martinez coming back to fight Cotto.
Lewis was done, despite what he said and started to realize it and probably decided it was best to go out on top, so to speak. Knowing how tough that fight with Vitali was and that he was getting hurt with some hard shots before the cut stoppage, he probably just figured I'd better retire and let someone else take the mantle.
The K brothers then were able to dominate after that. If Wlad doesn't at least fight Wilder, he can easily be accused of the same thing, although there are most likely mandatories for him as well that might get in the way of that before a unification can happen.Comment

We dont know how good Tunney wouldve been because he left when Braddock, Max Schemelling, Primo Carnera, and Jack Sharkey were all Active and in there early 20s. Gene was ATG at lower classes but his legacy at 200+ does not exist..Last edited by Joeyzagz; 09-18-2015, 11:53 AM.Comment

Tunney got his ass knocked out at Heavyweight but was gifted an extra 14 seconds to resuscitate. He had one single defense vs Tom Heeny and ran into retirement 2 months after his 31st birthday.

And that 14 extra seconds is a gross exaggeration. Tunney beats that count regardless.Comment
