I have never commented on the Tyson Lewis fight, yes that was a very weak version of Tyson.... so don't put words in my emouth please.

And what kind of a hypocrite are you when you claim Vitali took the fight unprepared (short notice) and yet won't give Lewis the same consideration....You can be a real jackwad when you start this Lewis haterade.

Sonny you should not resort to the ******ity of making personal attacks when people disagree with you it makes you sound like a real dunce. You are more of a fan boy with grudges than a source of knowledge....you should keep that in mind when discussing the relative merits of boxing knowledge among posters.
The name you're looking for is Kirk Johnson.

And Vitali was training for an undercard fight against Cedric Boswell.

I remember this very well as I had decided not to buy a ticket for Lewis-Johnson, but quickly bought one when Vitali was announced as the replacement.

Well i beg to differ with you... I have no hateraid towards Lennox Lewis and never have done. All i have ever had on Lennox Lewis is knowledge. i followed his career from as far back as his amateur days. i have seen him fight live` on 5 occasions. paying hundreds of pounds each time to go to his fights. (travel, hotels, tickets etc).. there is nothing i dont know about his career. You, knockedupned, joeyzags, lacedup etc are 100 % wrong claiming i have an agenda, a hatred of Lewis. i sit here laughing at some of the comments you all make on his career. you are wrong on almost everything you all claim how his career unfolded... but hey, stick at it it's fun.

You can say that everyday here and nobody will ever believe you. It's just another lie, and such an obvious one at that.

Its all good, but surely you can fathom why some of the conclusions you draw are extraordinary. And extraordinary ideas require extraordinary proof.

i would ask that you are midful that there are more than afew different opinions that tend to get lumped together. i don't know of many people who think the version of Tyson that lewis fought was much in the way of competition.

Are you ******, simple or slow? Or all three? First you point out you want sources claiming what I said - Then you want me to provide a contract?

Wow man, you're a special kind of idiot.

Right - you just said you have followed boxing since the 60s, but now it's only '71?

It's hard for anyone to believe you, especially a realist like myself.

yes i would say the late 60s, muhammad ali, joe frazier, henry cooper, Chris Finnegan winning the Olympic Gold, Jack Bodell, Joe Bugner i can recall watching them all. But back in them days was different of course compared to today. We never could watch live` boxing, it was always delayed viewing. Unless it was a british fighter fighting in britain, which would be aired on a wednesday evening. My father was a hardcore follower of the sport, who collected books & magazines on boxing also we had excellent newspaper columnists back then like Frank Butler. Whose weekly column in the Daily Mirror each friday was excellent reading... So i had a keen interest in the sport as far back as the 1960s, i started collecting books, magazines, fight-footage, cards and other memorabilia around 1973 and by the late 1990s i owned a fight-film collection of over 22,000+ fights on VHS.. i have no problem saying i followed boxing from as far back as the 1960s as i was born in the 1950s.

i read of many who feel the version of Tyson that Lewis beat was still a world beater.. in fact i have never ever read on any forum anyone besides myself, who claims Tyson was nothing other than a drug addict at that time.. When you take the Tyson victory away from Lewis record, it then starts to look very weak.. Lewis himself travels the world appearing on TV shows, telling of how he slayed Mike Tyson. Of how Mike Tyson said he was going to eat his children etc. So he beat him up. Lewis himself believes he defeated the 1986 version of Mike Tyson that night in Memphis Tess. 2003.. Lewis likes nothing better than to boast each day on Twitter about how he beat Mike Tyson.. blanking out of his mind how Tyson was addicted to prescription anti-depressants, alcohol, ******* & cannabis.. Frank Bruno, Bruce Seldon, Peter McNeeley, Carl Williams, Alex Stewart, Frans Botha would all easily defeat that 2003 version of Mike Tyson whom Lewis defeated... How can any person take part in a prizefight when addicted to such drugs as anti-depressants?

Sonnyboy saying he has no hate for Lewis is like Elroy saying he doesn't hate Frazier

its a shame cause the dude does know the sport, but then he comes out saying ridiculous stuff about other fighters too, like Hagler being a "slow brawler" its like he had a personal altercation with these guys or something. That would make him less crazy then if he hadn't because besides that i can't understand for the life of me why he hates these guys so much.

Ok so now it's late 60s, one post ago it was 71? Before that it was mid 60s? Then I question myself - Do I believe this guy? The answer is a firm, resounding no.

That's all nice and dandy, but a guy who's been following boxing for 50 years - would he continuously spend his time calling out a guy who's been retired for more than a decade for not fighting two guys nobody wanted him to fight?

                      Another firm, resounding no.
