I think Golota was helluva fighter. He could have been great, he should have been great. He was too anti social to succeed.

In professional prize fighting, to make it and fight professionally means you are exceptional (relatively speaking). Then? there are guys who have some real talent and can even fight and win. Golata was under Duva for a while and so was Fernando Vargas. Duva could teach Vargas, so Vargas as brought up...slowly and he had a decent career. Even Vargas hit a wall....he could not deal with a real puncher who was better than him and so, Tito exposed him and De La Hoya read the blueprint and came right at poor Nando. Not Duva's fault really...its professional prize fighting and if you get a paper cut and can't swing the jab.....somebody is gonna be there to make you pay!

Golata was equally talented as Vargas. Thing is Golata was not coachable. The fact that the train wreck that was Andrew went as far as it did is remarkable...its a testiment to his talent because at the end of the day, NOBODY who is not coachable will aspire to much in prize fighting.

Its like when you train guys in the Jitz.... You try to show them that jj is leverage and not to try to muscle it.... These guys don't really understand when your doing this that the only way to make someone technically sound is to teach them this way....And some will go on clobbering people until they meet a guy who got past that point and then they will get tapped.

Golata was an instictive maladaptive fighter who went into panic mode to succeed. That was a guarantee that he would only get so far.

Well at least Golota was a legitimate heavyweight with legitimate power and possibly didn't use steroids to compete there.

                Golota was a mental case.

Golota was like the guy who's picture you have there, he was a steroid freak with limited ability.. Lamon Brewster poleaxed him in less than a minute

Nope, this thread is excellent and funny. Here we have you and KONed trying your hardest, to brainwash others into accepting Golota as a world-beater in the hope that it makes your idol Lennox Lewis look worthy. You tried the exact same thing in the Razor Ruddock thread.. Lennox only claim to fame is beating Golota & Ruddock. those are his only two victories which you can use to make a case for his greatness.. But Ruddock was "Damaged Goods" and as limited as a 90yr old arthritic tennis player. While Golota just like McCall, was a mental midget on steroids. Who had not beaten a single top 50 opponent in his life.. Keep trying Jughead.

just remember it was DAN DUVA who said at the time that Golota was his best fighter while Holyfields trainer/manager...I beleive the Golota/Bowe fights proved that...again you speak out of context and want everyone to be on peds because Holyfield was...the love is strong between you two...write him....
