claiming Tyson to be "Smarter" than Frazier..Joe Frazier achieved just as much as Mike Tyson did in the sport of boxing. in fact Frazier is the guy who won Fight of the Century... To claim Tyson would steamroll Muhammad Ali is fanciful at best.. Mike Tyson never beat a single fighter who Muhammad Ali could not beat, yet Muhammad Ali beat fighters Mike Tyson could not beat.

So what? Tyson was a smarter fighter then Frazier. That's not disrespectful ffs. That's no different then saying Tyson was faster. I didn't take anything away from Frazier, merely said he was better. Who did Ali beat that Tyson didn't? Pretty sure Berbick was their only mutual opponent and Tyson walked through him. Ali lost to him. Your statement would then be backwards

I agree, and this should be rather obvious to anybody who have watched these fighters. Tyson had also better defense, and didn't have a "weak" hand, he had it all.

I stated 80's Tyson in the very beginning. Before all the bs outside of the ring. Tyson would have beaten Douglas easily as Holyfield did and Holyfield probably would have been close but still Tyson gets the edge.

i am not going to run down Mike Tyson, because i am a big fan of Tyson. You claim he was elusive and could take a punch.. who was he elusive against in a fight which i can watch??.

Why would George be afraid of Tyson? George called for a fight with Tyson throughout the mid 90s.. Don King Offered Tyson $35 million to fight Foreman, but Mike remembered what Cus D`Amato always told him when he was a young guy. Cus and Mike would watch fights together and Cus said, "It was suicide for fighters like Tyson & Frazier to fight Foreman" Big George would push them backwards, then let fly with sledgehammers from both hands. Big George of 73/4 was awesome. **** Sadler his trainer boasted, George's left hand is destruction, his right hand is death!

He was elusive against pretty much anyone who he fought. He was moving all of the time when in range. Guys would claim there was a pattern to how he bobbed and weaved yet they couldn't hit him with anything solid. When they finally would, he walked through it.


You keep bringing up 90s Tyson, I'm not talking about him His head wasn't in the ring, it was in blow. I was comparing 80s Tyson to '73 Frazier when he fought Foreman. Big George said he was afraid getting in the ring with him. Had 80s Tyson been the other option at the time then yeah, he clearly would have feared him as well. I think Tyson's movements would have been enough to make the difference against Foreman and allowed him to make a fight of it. Foreman was stronger but Tyson was a better puncher. Saying what a trainer said is ridiculous. Every (good) trainer will talk up their fighter. I think it would have been a hell of a fight but my opinion is Tyson gets the edge.

name me a fighter Tyson fought in the 80s who you feel was the equivalent of a 1973 George Foreman... what Foreman said is ridiculous about being afraid. Every good fighter will talk up their opponent.
