Punch stat is horrendous because it does not allow for ring generalship, strategy and actually landing versus just throwing punches.

I think the fight should have been scored closer for a lot of reasons....I have to watch it again, I did think Mayweather won by a slim margin. But Pac landedthe more telling shots
    Come on, man lol. Seriously?

Really lads??? http://putlocker.is/watch-floyd-mayw...putlocker.html here is the fight again, was closer than what i first taught, but come on mayweathers defense was 2nd to none, and caught manny all night whit the right hand, even HBO had mayweather winning, just because the crowd roars at every punch been trowin dose not mean it landed, watch again and score it now, while your sober and the dust is clearing

The fight was disappointing, especially considering the hype. But it was considerably better than the two DLH fights you listed. Those fight stunk.

I'm not too sure about that, I think there were at least more punches landing in Tito-DLH and May-DLH than in May-Pac.

It'll be the fight we still wish we got in 2009/2010. Floyd hasn't fell down the hill as far as Pacquiao has, but that doesn't stain the win still.

To not credit Floyd for this win is blasphemy as a boxing fan.

I still regard Pac man as the best fighter so far in this century. This was a size mismatch and a farce, Mayweather I have zero respect for as he is killing this sport. I have not met a single soul yet since the fight that thinks this was even close to a fight and all regard Mayweather as the second best runner in the world behind Usain Bolt. The fight was actually a massive bore. Sorry to any here who idolize Floyd but this fight confirmed to me once and for all that the old timers were better than anyone fighting now and back then boxing was real and fighter actually went hard at each other. I also condemn modern judges who always score a fight to the advantage of the guy always going backwards and penalizing the aggressor, THIS WAS NOT HOW BOXING WAS MEANT TO BE. Floyd is a greedy pretender, despite his obvious skills, he has never been in a real fight, running and hugging just makes people turn on to MMA.
                Rant over.

Because he schooled an ATG who was P4P #2 in the world.

The estimation for the PPV numbers and total profits of this fight is absolutely staggering. If they are right about the 5 to 6 million PPV buys and 500-700+ million profits, there might never be another fight this big ever again. It's amazing and I'm so proud of the sport of Boxing regardless of how the fight didn't live up to the hype. For this reason alone it will be an immortalized moment in the sport's history.
