    Not a bad idea.

Bob Foster was stripped by the WBA for not fighting his sparring partner Jimmy Dupree but he re-unified with his second round KO of Vicente Paul Rondon in '72.

It seems to boils down to whether Chacon signed a contract with Don King that gave him a one fight option prior to his shot at the title against Limon.

If he did, King had stipulated the purse for that next contest at $210,000.

Chacon who made $450,000 against Boza-Edwards obviously wasn't going to accept that kind of money for Camacho.

Sulaiman gave Chacon roughly three week notice to reach an agreement for the fight or be stripped.

When he stripped the title Sulaiman claimed Chacon had been offered $450,000 and a percentage of the gate. (?)

Either way Chacon minus his title went on to face Mancini next and got a career high $575,000.
Not so clear cut? WTF? An organizations lead scumbag (Suliaman) siding with a scumbag promoter (Don King) over a fighter (Chacon) for fighting the #1 contender rather than the #2 contender is the very definition of corrupt

Was referring to it from a legal point of view, not moral.

I love the argument that the Klitschkos often raise(d) when it suited them to the effect that "the sanctioned challenger had to be fought." Yeah....because fighters were never stripped of a title temporarily to give the fans the best fight...never would happen! Sarcasm alert.

Well The Ring used to be THE title to have right? Now that they have this TBRB doing objective rankings, why don't they start awarding title belts at some point and stick to their strict criteria, like Ring used to do? Then fans would know who the best truly is and tell the corrupt alphabet organizations to take a flying leap.

                      The Ring Magazine belt?

That was more a ceremonial recognition of the world champion - I'm not sure but don't believe Fleischer ever issued a belt to somebody who wasn't the both the NBA and NYSAC champion.
