Mayweather vs maidana

Considering Mayweather has 3 fights left on his Showtime contract, he'll probably fight Khan next and then Thurman and possibly either Porter or some easier young fighter to go out on a win.

what i dont get about this thread is why we are judging floyd right now when hes clearly on the decline, thats like judging chavez on his loss to tszyu when his loss to whitaker told a more accurate story. i think at this point everything floyd accomplishes is a bonus because he is CLEARLY on the verge of getting old over night.

My guess is that it will be
Maidana 2 sept 2014
Khan in May 2015 if he doesn't lose again.. If he does lose again, replace him with Danny Garcia
Porter/Thurman in sept 2015... Too far out to project who will be the hot guy by then..
Dark horse long shots: canelo rematch, cotto rematch if he beats serg, manny

Floyd prime that fought hatton would have had a much easier time with Maidana

I noticed a difference in Floyd yesterday. Not just in the ring. The look in his eyes before the fight, when he went back after the first round and said something that sounded like im tired or im trying, and looked a little disheartened, ive never seen that in him before. It seemed to me like hes starting to feel his age, despite his work ethic, lifestyle, and technical abilties, he is after all a fighter whos physical style is based on speed and reactions, and 37 is not young for a fighter like that.

Porter likes to use his physicality and that is what worked against Mayweather last night. He could be a tough opponent but I hope be fights Thurman first.

had it 7-5 for floyd and think a draw would have been fine as I gave a few close rounds to floyd but felt the ones I gave to maidana were pretty clear. Gloves could have made all the difference. Floyd looked pretty battered by the end ... and that was with pillows. Maidana looked like he'd been for a stroll in the park. And agree with OP ... no way floyd beats any of the fab four or chavez for that matter.
If maidana gets to use his gloves and the odds are good I'll be putting money on him in the rematch.
