Just wondering what if you were the writer of this movie what you would put into the plot. My understanding is that the movie will focus on the relationship between Arcel(played by Robert DeNero ) and duran and will also include the leonard fights. What are your thoughts? Like the Ali movie with Will Smith it Most likely will not contain Duran whole career as it was even longer than Ali's.

Yeah, i wasnt a huge fan of the Ali film,,, found it kinda corny and boring


Lets be real, nothing tops the Rocky movies,,, Ragin'Bull is close,,,


I also like the Nicholas Cage movie snake-eyes, when there is an assaination at a boxing fight in casino,,

there's so much potential, tough hard youth, his work for the poor, dominating the lightweights and then the sugar ray win followed by the lows of no mas and all that followed and then building back up again to maybe the Barkley fight... but that's probably too many years so maybe they'll focus in on the sugar ray stuff?

I hope it will be good but nearly all biopics are rubbish except for a notable few. Personally the most interesting thing for me would be trying to get into the psyche of Duran, focussing on his childhood poverty and his fairly swift elevation as the best fighter in the world. For the film to be good it will need to focus less on the fights and more on the man, much like Raging Bull did with LaMotta.

I want to see it though I hope it is positive about him. Sometimes when they make movies about people they tend to focus on the negatives of their life. Everybody has negatives in their story, but how the story goes often depends on who's telling it.
