It's in post production now scheduled for release this year. I think it should be pretty good based on the cast...at least I hope so.

It might be difficult to cast someone to play him. Camacho had a certain charismatic personality that is difficult to duplicate. Also the actor would have to be Latin and about 5'5.

Maybe Jay Hernandez or John Leguizamo could do it, the Camacho movie I mean. I think John already did a boxing movie anyway.

Thanks, I was going to ask when it was out.

Totally agree here on the good casting. My favorite fighter of all time. The biggest positive is that the legend of Duran gets exposed to the masses and the new generation. Can't wait to see this.

I thought it was pretty bad, great boxing choreography too. Don't understand why people don't like it.

In terms of the Duran flick, they'll probably focus on his run at ww, the Leonard fights, some of the controversy and probably end with an uplifting moment, like going 15 rounds with Hagler or later in his career winning the mw title.

If I had my way I'd start with a montage of Duran ripping through the lw division and some scenes showing his relationship with Arcel and then straight into the historic Brawl in Montreal.
