  • Which Big Fight were you totally wrong on..

We all make predictions when it comes to fights, sometimes were right and sometimes were wrong, but what is the one major fight that you were totally wrong about....

Mine would have to be the 2 SRL comebacks,, i thought he would come out on top vs norris and camacho,,, totally wiffed on those

And i know the obvious one will be tyson-buster, but lets try and stay away from upsets and stick with major fights and not random upsets

It is hard to remember them all but i'm pretty sure I thought Trinidad would beat Hopkins, De la Hoya would beat Mosley, possibly even Mayweather, Jones-Tarver II, Tszyu-Hatton, both Taylor-Pavlik fights, Pavlik-Martinez.

My biggest betting blunder from last year was betting on Matthysse to KO Garcia in rounds 1-6.

        Ali-Foreman
        Tyson-Doulgas, Tyson-Holyfield
        Hopkins-Trinidad
        Mayweather-Lockridge
        Lewis-Ruddock
        Honeyghan-Curry

Loads and loads over the years.

That's why Boxing is a great sport. It doesn't matter how much you know and how well studied you are you're still going to get shocked time and time again.

i thought donaire was going to knock rigondeaux out.

          i ate plenty of crow.

in my defense, rigondeaux had never looked like that for a full 12 rounds, and i think i was making the proper prediction going on rigondeaux's body of work to date.

i'm only picking one, but obviously i've been wrong on dozens of big fights.

Holyfield-Tyson 1 I didn't see coming at all. Mainly because Holyfield had not looked good going into that fight.

              Calzaghe-Lacy. Jones-Tarver 2. Hatton-Tszyu.

Hopkins-Tarver is another one I just thought about. I also never expected Williams-Martinez 2 to end the way it did.

I can quickly think of three fights that went the distance that I knew after the first round that I totally blew it:

                  Calzaghe-Lacy
                  Hopkins-Pavlik
                  Barrera-Hamed

All three were cases of missing out on who clearly had the better fundamentals and technique.

That one surprised me too. At that stage of his career, Pavlik looked like a beast and Hopkins was an old fighter.
