I don't like Bermane Stiverne as much as Ruiz but he is another guy I keep an eye on. He apparently beat Hellinus and Price in the Ammy's and he boxed well against Chris Areolla.

Of course Bermane is not a spring chicken anymore...

And I have always liked Odlanier Solis but he is hardly a prospect. My interest has been lately in the heavyweight division. Ditto for Chisora...but Chisora while solid, is never going to be exceptional. What I like about Ruiz is his speed has the potential to make him unique. He just may need to take some enhancements! of the anabolic variety.

Speaking of Stiverne, is Vitali going to fight him or retire? How long does he have to decide?

I read recently that his decision was due soon. It is disgraceful how he's been allowed to sit on that title while other champions are stripped with the flimsiest of excuses.

That prospect that stole the show alas...will not make the grade. And we say NEVER AGAIN!!! This time its MMA and Curling for real!!

But we can't help it....we look at that girl in the red dress out of the corner of our eye....and we get ready to repeat the cycle again, so in that spirit i ask: Who are you looking at to make history in the history section? what fighters are looking like they may become elite from the ground up?

            I will start.

Ruiz. I think this kid is fabulous. In a sobering evening he managed to show a great chin. think the adjustments on defense can be made...But the things you can't teach, like handspeed, chin, coordination and power make this kid look like the best of the heavy weight prospects....

I know i know I am blinded yes....thats the point! Anyone blinding you?

Vitali doesn't come off good in this, but the WBC is the main villain here. They were the same people who took away Sergio Martinez's title for no good reason whatsoever, other than to give a title to JCC Jr.
