Walcott was the heavyweight champion of the world? Again did I ask you this? I said was a true modern sized heavyweight and the answer is hell no.

Lewis, Tyson, Tua, Bowe would lose to Marciano? Why because white guys love Marciano and need somebody to root for?

Ezzard Charles was a natural light heavyweight at the end of this career and most likely won their first bout.

Jersey Joe Walcot was a cruiserweight at the end of his career.

If you could be 5'10 and weigh 180 pounds and move up and gain more power was so simple why didn't every fighter of that size do it? Wait Rocky Marciano is special right because you people want to believe so.


And Tommo there is no point in trying to explain anything to K-Dog the little child is clueless. He keeps bringing up 180 pound fighters that Marciano fought. I don't care if the fighters he fought at 180 were world class. They weren't world class modern sized heavyweights.

Rocky had horrific power, they were often alseep/wasted even after the ten count. You rarely see that not even Tyson does that. (and the rock didnt need creatine, designer steroids, modern weight lifting etc to do that)

Ali and Tex Cobb both survived Shavers mega blows to the head etc but were both knocked down by weaker pucnhing smaller guys, your argument is flawed.

You are right they never faced a 180 pound fighter with no skill who is only popular today because of their skin color. Also Marciano is a cruiserweight by modern standards so he wouldn't be allowed to fight those guys anyway.

Blown up40 year old middleweight Archie Moore could knock down Marciano with one punch and 40 year washed up Walcott could knock down Marciano with one punch but yeah Tua, Lewis, Mike Tyson and Rid**** Bowe couldn't knock him out? Yeah only something a ****** Rocky Marciano fan would say.

Why would a man who retired in 1955 be fighting 'modern' sized heavyweights?

The Heavyweight division was 175lbs plus at the time of Marciano's reign.

Stokely the point is he didn't fight modern sized heavyweights so they do these little Rocky Marciano fans keep comparing him to 220 plus pound modern heavyweights? He was never hit by a modern heavyweight so why say he could take Tyson. Foreman, Bowe, Lewis, Tua, Ibeabuchi, ect ect ect power when we do know Archie Moore a 150 to 160 pound fighter was able to floor him.

Why keep talking abut his so called punching power and how he could knock out guys like Foreman, Tua, McCall ect ect ect when it took him 9 rounds to knock out 40 year old china chin Archie Moore who was stopped in 1 round by fighters at his natural weight class.

Because he is Marciano. The same rules that apply to every other fighter doesn't apply to him.

rocky, dempsey and even joe louis would be cruiserweights in this day and age,,,
thats why i never try and compare guys from the early days to more modern fighters,,,

Rocky would get brutalized by ali, foreman, tyson, lewis, holyfield, klits, and even rid**** bowe,,,, I think he only has a chance vs joe frazier

But rocky would be destroying guys at cruiser right now,,, guys his own size, yes he could be champ at cruiser,,,,,

Sugar Adam Ali at least you agree that Foreman, Tyson, Lewis would destroy him so at least you know your boxing better than most. But I doubt he would even be a decent cruiser weight today. Not to say black fighters are better than white fighters because race has nothing to do with being a good fighter or anything else. But the vast Majority of the guys Marciano fought were mob controlled 180 pound Italian fighters. And name one of those 180 pound fighters he faced who are world class or were in their primes when Marciano fought them.

Hard to slate him really but from the 1910's besides Dempsey, Frazier, Charles, Walcott and Patterson... Rocky is virtually the weakest HW champ of all time, both h2h AND resume wise!
