Does Floyd mayweather jr remind you of any other fighter's?

Well, he's bound to say JMM is'nt he. Floyd beat him at his own game of countering and moving. Some product, but imo should'nt be compared to the atg's who who fought for a living. Guy comes out once a year for a lottery cheque, and as much as i appreciate his 'immense' talent, if he'd been given anything remotely close to the workload of SRR or Armstrong, he'd have ran and quit the sport years ago.. Means the cheeky ****er can carry on into his 50's, and claim to be the goat. Bit of a fraud if you ask me, but like many other mugs, i'll still be forking out the ppv come Canelo, who imo is'nt a great deal better than Hatton, and he'll be lucky to hear the final bell.
But then, that'll be that for another 18 mths or so.

A prime Marquez at a lower weight would have been a harder fight for Floyd. Marquez has fought a lot and been in a lot of wars. Floyd probably appreciates this fact.

Should'nt really be discussed on history, but as i've been the one to mention it, i'll say yer moneyman's well overdue for turning someone over, and imo the Canalo's customized to suit. Sure, he'll make the part-timer work for a change, and may even scuff him up a little, but i see it as he'll eventually get sick of hitting nothing, and taken out 9-11.. Chin appears to be sound, but he's gonna be spending energy faster than Leon Spinks can keep a buck in his pocket.. Just don't see anything in his armory that will suffice for the genius of Mayweather, who could quite possibly join Ali and SRL at the elite end of the atg's who've been around when i have..

I agree but JMM's time at fw/sfw almost ran parallel with PBF's time at lww/ww, so it never happened until after Marquez had won the lw title. Remember something about there being a weight they'd both agreed to fight at, but it does make me wonder if part of the ploy to go rushing up the weights, was to avoid JMM in his prime?

How I see it is Floyd is a fan of Ricardo Lopez. Marquez is the most similar fighter today to Lopez

Quite possibly, and probably before Spad got himself locked up. But it got posted on NSB leading up to the Hatton fight, and if the vid was genuine, Floyd was way out of shape.

I'd have to agree, but I heard Floyd signed a 6 fight deal with Showtime so I was thinking since Mayweather wanted to retire within 2-3 more years as I've heard, seems like he would keep a little busier than that to fulfill his contract.

From the highlights of the single and only fight we have of Charley Burley I don't see too many similarities between him and Mayweather.
