Just got done watching the third fight. I did question if Holyfield has paid off the ref because he hardly ever gets warnings for headbutts and low blows but Bowe is stopped and yelled at. Last round was unexpected though.

And i forget which round it is, but throw in the round from the first Leonard-Hearns fight where Sugar Ray goes ape **** and Hitman falls out the ring.

Honestly, this thread was not intended to find THE best round in history. It's easy to dig up those. This was an ode to both Saad Muhammad and Yaqui Lopez who had two great fights. Saad went to the hall of fame for these types of fights.

Not close to the best round ever or even the best round in recent history, but a very action packed and a great round is Round 4 of Mayweather-Corley. A fight where you'd never expect a round with such action.

Mayweather's get's badly hurt in the first 10 seconds of the round and instead of shelling up, bites down and comes straight forward and hurts Corley and knocks him down (wasn't called). Toe to toe action and both landing huge punches. Back and forth, great ebb and flow.

IMO, the most exciting round of Floyd's career.

That's why I made the disclaimer that it wasn't the best round in history . I could have picked better rounds but I don't think I titled this as "The best round in history."
