How do manny n mayweather do against the greats?

Could they hang with the fabulous four or the other greats? What number 1 fighters would you throw at them to beat em?

Leanard and Hearns would have given both of those guys a warm time.

Hearns slaughters them both. Leonard and Hagler beat them down and Duran is 50/50 with Mayweather. Beats Manny up and stops him late.

If you include Benitez, I think he drops a decision to Floyd but decisions Manny.

Floyds tenacity and versatility serve him well at times. Mannys style doesnt serve him well at all against bigger men of equal physical gifts and superior smarts.

I think Hearns is easily the worst match for either. Cant see either having any real success against such a rangy, speedy power puncher who can keep them out of their range and inside his own. Horrible match.

Floyd at lightweight may be too much for any other lightweight in time. Floyd's footwork and accuracy was masterful and he had superior stamina but he's gotten slower laterally at welter.

With that said if floyd and leonard fought at 140 or 147 i think it would end up being a highly competitive fight but with leonard by later stoppage.

Mayweather gets beat up by any of them at any weight! He is way to small and has NO power. At lightweight Duran destroys him, the only way to comtend with Duran at his prime weight is to try and work angles along with stepping into him. If you move away and go to the ropes your going to get hammered by a superior puncher to Floyd!
Manny might get into some rounds with Duran because he asctually knows how to box he just never uses his skills. As for Leonard and Hearns their to big and to strong! Benetiz would bring the boringest fight ever with Floyd!
Manny would try to make the fight and might do well because he's quicker than Wilfred and he could work fast enough to off set Wilfred, might be a good fight.

Manny and Floyd are 5'7" 147 is their High Weight!

              Leonard 5'10"
              Hearmns 6' 1 1/2"
              Benitez 5' 10"
              Duran 5' 7" 135

At 147 Manny & Floyd are NOT ATG sorry Floyd & Manny nuts their not in the mix they would get out stengthed and punched they simply don't have the punching power for the great welters to respect them. Tis has been discust to many times and it should be refered to the threads from the past that outline this topic and give names of how many 47 pounders can handle these two lil guys! Ray.

Surely Pernell Whitaker at the very least matches Floyd on many levels at lightweight.

Surely indeed! People make a mistake in logic when comparing Sweet pea to Mayweather: Person A says: "Well Mayweather was a much more well rounded fighter so he can do more and defeats the pea."

Heres the problem with that: Sweet Pea was so good defensively that it would not necessarily matter how much more well rounded Mayweather was. He was good enough (fast enough) to counter Floyd and unhittable on his best days. If Sweet Pea got upset and tried toslug it out he would get dropped (see his fight against Roger Mayweather) but his abilities were off the chart and if he fought smart it would be a hard fight for Floyd indeed.

They are both among the greats, in their best weights they match up fine with most.
