"None of Frazier's opponents ever complained about bruising on just one side of the body"

    I think it's a Cosell quote, I can't remember.

I like Frazier though i think
I also rate Frazier higher, Marciano wouldnt have lived with Ali and Forman would have done the exact same thing to him. Joe has the better resume imo, Louis and Moore were corpse's and Charles had seen better days too
Yeah better resume and even though it was an older, possibly past prime Charles, he STILL gave Marciano a hell of a fight both times. Charles came the closest to stopping Rocky and either he or Walcott the first time came the closest to beating him, maybe throw in the first LaStarza fight there too, since it was very close on the scorecards, from what I've heard.

How do u see them H2H Anthony?

Joe Frazier had a right hand but will ALWAYS be associated with the left hook. He had a right but it was not on the level of his left and i feel it was under used to an extent too, though he did throw it.
Frazier has the weakest right of the three but we are talking about Mike Tyson and The Rock here so there's no shame!
EDIT: Got my threads mixed up there, was thinking of the one with Ali, Holmes and Lewis vs Tyson Joe and Marciano lol

How do you think Rocky deals with being pushed back by the bigger, stronger man and repeatedly beaten to the punch by the faster man?

Let me guess, heart and determination? Which Frazier can match anyone in

frazier beats marciano. rock is crazy tough but he'd win fights by wearin cats out. smoke only got stronger as the fight went on. i'm thinkin at his peak smoke was like 190 n rock was 183 so neither at their peak was even near the current cruiser limit of 200. its only right to take these things into consideration when rating fighters of different eras

                Marciano

Both are ATG at HW of course, you could take many champs from history & say what if this guy fought that guys opponents, it's just adding more to the fantasy matchups of the 2 actually fighting each other, Frazier's left I believe was as hard a punch as any HW in History had, & I agree a one-armed fighter, but an awesome one-armed fighter.

When anyone say's Marciano could not stand a chance against Ali, or any other ATG HW, I watch the Marciano-Ali fight they had for the computer fight in the film, old, out of shape, with a very short time to even get into any respectable shape at all, Marciano, shows he was not all that small, he showed he could reach guys like Ali and hit them, he could chase a Boxer like Ali & catch him, yes it was a film, but they still moved, they still threw punches, they still hit each other a few times, an Old outta shape marciano made a good showing of himself, so I can see in his prime, he could have any HW in history and had a chance to win with his power, & his heart & will to win, Ali & others from what I have read, all said, they were very surprised at the things they saw from Marciano while filming, many had a very different opinion of him after that, some that thought going into filming that Ali would have easily beaten Rocky in their primes, left believing Rocky had a shot, that's how impressed they were, even Ali, he said in an old interview I saw as a kid, that going into it, he himself, always thought, that no way Marciano would ever have stood a chance against him, he left that filming with him, thinking that he really shocked & surprised me & he could see in his prime, Marciano giving him as good of a fight as anyone he had ever faced, he said Marciano got a little carried away at times & they both had more than a few real exchanges, and that he hit Marciano with good shots & he never even flinched, old & outta shape, and that Marciano hit him with some very solid shots & he could feel the power & again, could only imagine what he hit like in his prime, I take what Ali said & what I saw, to say that Marciano could have kept up & had a shot to beat any HW in history, My Arms eventually dropped from the Power shots he hit them with during our fight, a comment by more than one Marciano opponent.

In a Frazier (weighing 205 1/2 like he did in the fight of the century) Marciano fight i'd be more confident that Rocky could take Frazier's punches than vice versa. Fight would be scrappy as hell, probably a lot less exciting that you'd think. Either a Frazier decision win or late stoppage win for Marciano.

I'm really not sure who eclipses who in terms of greatness though.

Frazier has a win against Ali, probably not the best Ali ever, but an Ali who went on to win against Foreman and Frazier himself.

If we consider the level of competion, and the deepness of Frazier's resumee, in spite of his losses he surely deserves to be up there with guys like Marciano.
Even though Frazier has the best win of the two, Marciano beat everyone in front of him and always found a way to win. The second Walcott fight is one of my favorite fights of all times.

Main difference between these two guys is that they peaked at different times in their careers. Frazier rose quickly, Marciano late. At the same time Marciano overcame all obstacles whereas Frazier just came up short on a couple of occasions. Therefore Marciano edges it just for me. Both just outside of the top 10.
