'Lennox Lewis is not an ATG' IronDanHamza

WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT P4P.

I read this poster's posts. Overall some good stuff.

The one glitch to his posting is

"Lennox Lewis is not an ATG'

    So is Lewis an ATG?

Or is the vast majority of the boxing world ******ed and IronDanHamza is this generation's 'world is round' theory breaking ideologist?

As long as he can give good reasoning as to why he doesn't think Lewis is an ATG, I couldn't give a fuck. Perhaps he considers him a top heavyweight but not an ATG and it's not hard to believe there are 100 fighters who'd be ranked ahead of him on such a list.

I've always thought Lewis was overrated

Got KOd by 2 scrubs. No career defining win unless you count a cut win over vital where some people believe he was losing. Other then that piggy backing wins off shot Tyson and holyfield.

Thank you firstly for dedicating a thread to my opinion.

Secondly, I don't think Lennox Lewis is considered an ATG by the "Vast majority of the Boxing world".

I mean, if Lewis is an ATG, is Sonny Liston an ATG? Is Joe Fraizer an ATG? I don't think the "vast majorty" think they are ATG's just as Lennox Lewis.

I'm talking ATG P4P, by the way.

In regards to him being an ATG Heavyweight, yes he is an ATG in my opinion. Because I consider all the Top 15 HW's to be ATG HW's.

The word great can mean different things to different people. Lewis was clearly one of the better heavyweight champions, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who didn't include him on an all time top 50 P4P list.

And Iron Dan is certainly one of the posters worth taking seriously here, even if you don't agree with all his comments.

I consider him an ATG Heavyweight.

Just not an ATG in general and I'd imagine that wouldn't be an unpopular line of thinking.

He may be overrated now but rewind 10 years and the thought of him being an ATG P4P would be considered nothing more than mild humour.

I definitely have Lewis at top10 ATG heavyweight.
As for ability i think he can take every heavyweight in history even if i wouldn't favor him against everyone. h2h he's probably top5 imo.

                p4p top100? No.

It's really hard for a heavyweight to rate highly at p4p.
Was Lewis ever even considered top5 p4p in any given year? I don't think he was.

                  You did not clarify this.

You could have at least talked about Lewis with more class. You go on to say that 'Wladimir is ranked below Lewis' but than started bashing Lewis by calling guys like Ruddock, Golota, and Tua 'bums'. And 'no names worth mentioning'

Of course Lewis is not an ATG P4P. He is a top 15-5 Heavyweight (Depending on who's doing the rankings) nobody argue with that.

The way you wrote it made it sound like you don't even admit Lewis is an ATG Heavyweight.

Ruddock isn't a nobody you know. He was a good heavy and took an elite Tyson to the deep end twice. Golota dominated Bowe twice.. ya he had mental issues but he was a slight favorite heading into the Lewis fight and the way Lewis demolished him in 1 round is impressive.

Nobody is saying Ruddock or Golota are ATG Heavyweights, but people are saying the way Lewis DOMINATED them in 1-2 rounds was impressive.

Golota and Ruddock are much more dangerous than a 40 year old Tony Thompson at least. You don't see Wlad doing that to Thompson in 1 round.

Once again, your trash talking of Lewis went a bit too far and you know it. When a great poster suddenly lower himself with insults that indicates we found the great poster's bias. In your case.. it's anti Lewis.
