    Quarry vs Ibragimov

Lets take these to gate keepers and match them up. Iggy has a slight weight advantage, Quarry the experience against better fighters. Who wins and how does it go? It'll be 12 rounds since Quarry only made it to 15 once.

Which Ibragimov mate? Sultan or Timur?

Either way I've got Quarry winning. Beating Timur rather easily.

I think Sultan may knock Quarry down early but Quarry comes back to win a a fairly comfortable UD

My bad....Sultan. I personally think Quarry is one of the best heavyweights to never win a title. I tried keeping someone from today around his size to get realistic opinions though.

Quarry was a good good fighter IMO & a very underrated one.
I also feel David Tua was a little bit unfortunate to never become a world champion.

I'd definitely have to pick Quarry over Sultan, he fought the much better competition. Sultan didn't really beat anybody outside a 40+yr old Holyfield & Briggs.
I often found Sultan started well but would fade mid-to-late on. Maybe knocks Quarry down early but losses a decision.

I really liked Tua, but he ate himself out of the best chances he had to win a title. If he could have kept his weight in the 220's he would have been so much better.

Yeah his weight really was an issue though I love how he often joked in post fight interviews he was going to Burger King after to celebrate. I think his only crack at a world title was against Lewis so that was rather unfortunate. He was talking last month about another comeback now he has got rid of his demons.

He really impressed me in his comeback against Cameron then it just went back downhill from there and he was grossly overweight in his last few fights.

I remember watching him on an HBO undercard back in the mid 90's thinking "damn, this kid is boxings next big thing". Would have been something if he could have maintained discipline.

I would favor Quarry over Ibragimov too.

Funny about Tua, When John Ruiz defended his WBA title against Fres Oquendo, I wonder if Tua was sitting at home watching and saying, "I knocked him out, him too!"

Or even when Rahman was defending his WBC title against Maskaev.

I've always believed that Quarry was much better than given credit for. He beats Ibragimov and many others in this era.

Quarry beats every single fighter on Wlad's resume, as well as all 3 of the fighters that KHTFO.
