I'm saying he had beaten every significant heavyweight of his era which was essentially the '90's. To me, his is a pretty good resume when you look at all the names he has on it! The only guy he never faced was Bowe only because he decided to throw his belt in the garbage can rather than face him. The Lewis era was perhaps the 2nd strongest next to Ali's.

      • Yes he did and it is considered a strong era. I like Lennox, nothing against him really, I just don't rate him quite as highly. He's definitely one of my favorites though, nice boxer puncher style.

I guess it's a lot to do with personal preference as I've been saying..

          • Yeah personal preference and who someone beats and when they beat them and winning a legit championship. So you're saying you think Lennox Lewis is the best heavyweight of all time?

No, as you can see he's about #6 on my list. But, he sure belongs up there with them. He was never known to duck anyone and did the most he could during his time. I guess thats a big part of what wins it for me. Did a fighter reach his potential during his time to where he couldn't have possibly elevated himself any higher given his opportunities?

Ah, I see, so you're saying Lewis is the best of his era during the '90s and early 2000s. Or, at least after the early '90s when Holyfield and Bowe were vying for the top spot.

                • Rather than "least skilled" I prefer to think of him as overrated: "Sweet Pea."

how'd you come to that conclusion?

being deprived of sleep or falling down the stairs or something ?
                    :

that name doesn't belong anywhere near this thread. the man is not overrated and his skills were second to none for many years during the early 90's and late 80's
