  • Least Skilled ATG?

Who do you think is the least skilled ATG since 1940? I used the year 1940 because it wouldn't be fair to the fighters from the early days like Sullivan or Dempsey when boxing technique wasn't as developed.

maybe Rocky M ... It was heart and determination that made him what he was, not being more skilled than his contemporaries

Marciano had better skills than people give him credit for. His defense was deceptively good for a slugger. Foreman fits this criteria better, imo.

I would say the rock. Foreman Had a telephone pole type jab.

I have a tie for foreman and marciano. But they have more skill than people give them credit for

Definitely Foreman. His punching style was borderline arm punching and even his jab was brought back and held too low. He was crude, sloppy and had no answers left if his opponent survived his early attack. Good ability to cut off the ring and a naturally stiff jab, but he relied too much on his power and strength.

kenny norton might crack some people's top 100 and he was not highly skilled. he was very gifted

some consdiered saad muhammad an ATG. i generally do not (though i have not hashed out a top 100 in my head.) he'd be up there as well.

some nsb chump will come in here saying duran and hagler, and i will bash them in.
