Bonds, McGwire, Sosa......all got bigger and bigger...to hit the same lil' ball off of the same pitchers everyone else did.

Evander Holyfield, if he did indeed juice, got himself big enough to put himself in much greater harm's way against heavyweight boxers. That's not a justification, but may tell you why people kinda turn their heads where he and roids are concerned.

IMO, Evander Holyfield is the bravest and most over-acheiving athlete in the history of professional sports.

If Bonds doesn't get in based on 1986-1998, then I'm never visiting the Hall of Fame. Ever. I'm serious. That would be a travesty.

He won't. Ever heard of Joe Jackson? How about Pete Rose?

If that's the case, you should have already boycotted the place for keeping Pete Rose out.

Joe Jackson and Pete Rose were both specifically banned from baseball. And I'm originally from San Francisco. We had season tickets from when I was born to when we moved in 2002. I saw Barry Bonds do a lot of special things with a bat.

Pete Rose belongs in the Hall of Fame, period.

Bonds belongs in there, as well.

Yes he does. But I'm too young to have seen Pete Rose. This is a first hand grudge I'll be holding against the HoF.

Evander's steroid use casts a huge shadow and is the reason I am not a fan of his nor do I really hold his accomplishments in a very high regard.

Steroid abusers are cheaters as far as I'm concerned, and in a sport like boxing where you gain so much with regards to taking punishment, punching power, and endurance, it's just too much.

You don't have to show me a positive test, I am positive that Evander was one of the biggest steroid abusers in boxing history and his legacy is tainted to me.

I also heard in the past that "Evan Fields" Balco file had Evanders home phone number. Any truth to this?

The Baseball writers who do the voting for the HOF take a VERY dim view of cheating (and like it or not roids IS considered cheating). One major incident is all it takes to wipe out a steller career.

No solid proof it helps, just yet. We all are pretty certain that Vargas was juiced for his fight with DeLaHoya. Vargas had no zip on his punches, was tight as a drum, and Oscar was able to hurt him.
