Exactly. And thus...by the time he fought Tarver...he had long been slipping.

Why don't you post up some details of this HBO offer you keep referring to?

no, i mean was it fact he was on steroids in the harding fight and off in the harmon fight

Not really. A fighter going from an enhanced state to a natural state is not slipping, because that condition is reversible. Slipping is when the reflexes of an athlete (who is not using steroids) slows down.

I don't have details because I didn't sit in a room with them. And posting Frank Warren's opinion on the matter isn't proof. We'll never know. I have no doubts that Benn would've liked to fight Jones. And to me, the idea that Jones "ducked" Benn because they never fought is as ludicrous as the idea that James Toney, another American fighter contracted to HBO, ducked "Benn". Because Benn or his promoter says so? No, I don't swallow hook, line and sinker that easily.

Yes but you'd have to know when the fighter went from enhanced to "natural." And you don't know.

Oh yeah, that's pretty much subjective. You believe those two had better defence than Richard Hall?

That's another way to look at it.

I think you have your fights mixed up. he fought Harmon before Harding. And he was busted for steroids in the Hall fight. Actually, he wasn't busted for Hall in the steroids fight because his 'B' sample came back negative and the ISAC had no laws in place for positive tests so he walked scott free. And something tells me that isn't the first or last time this sort of thing occurred.
