The fact remains that Frazier was shot five years before he fought Cummings and had not won a fight in 6 years going into that fight. A shot fighter coming off 5 years of inactivity at 37 years of age. Only a hard core Tyson fan or hard core Lewis hater would argue that Tyson was much worse than that version of Frazier. It's a silly argument to be honest.
Those fights were 2 years prior and it's always interesting to me that people can always talk about how quickly Tyson spiraled out of control yet when somebody mentions him being shot after a 2 year break since fighting Golota it is hard to believe that in that 2 year period he could put enough drugs in his system and abuse himself to the point that he was shot and doped up. Frazier always had the will to win, whereas Tyson was just walking into Lennox as if he wanted to get knocked out to end the fight. He was fighting for money, and we saw him get beat up and quit in his fights with Danny Williams and Kevin McBride, which is the same version of Tyson that Lennox fought.

If you can not see or believe that then I don't know what to tell you. You are stretching your opinion to an almost unbelievable extent just to glorify a victory over Tyson and make it to be more than it is, when in reality it was the same as beating a D class journeyman fighter who didn't even take the time to get into shape for the fight.

First of all I have never "glorified" Lewis win over Tyson. IMO it really does nothing for his legacy. I'm just not intersted in hearing about Tyson's personal problems. A lot of fighters and athletes have problems going into the ring/game but they still take care of business. Tyson's a professional. I don't buy that as an excuse. But your claim that Tyson was worse off than the Frazier who fought Jumbo Cummings is ridiculous and I think the reasons have already been clearly pointed out. But I'll say again that Cummings would have been lucky to last 4 rounds with that version of Tyson. That version of Tyson was knocking out fighters better than Cummings. Yet Frazier could only get a draw against a club fighter.

I also find it interesting how you claim the Tyson who lost to McBride and Williams was the same version that lost to Lewis. Yet you also are quick to say the Tyson who knocked out Golota and beat Saverses was not the same Tyson who lost to Lewis because it was "two years earlier."

You do realize that Tyson lost to Williams and McBride 2-3 years after the Lewis fight? That's a comical double standard.

If you watch Tyson and look at his physical condition vs Savarese you can see that he is not the same fighter who fought Lewis. Yet the Tyson who fought Lewis, Williams and Mcbride was the same shot fighter. Tyson who fought Savarese may very well have given Lewis a pounding.

I've watched both fights and the only thing I see is that Tyson beat Saverese and lost to Lewis because LL was a different caliber fighter than Saverese. What worked against Saverese didn't work against Lewis.

Tyson KO'd Brian Nielsen 8 months before facing Lewis.

Tyson KO'd Clifford Etienne 8 months after facing Lewis.

Past-Prime, yes. But certainly not shot.

Two journeyman that any self-respecting pro should beat if he isn't on his death bed.

                Cifford was 24-1
                Nielsen was 62-1

And apparently Lamon Brewster(last guy to beat Wlad) isnt a self respecting pro.

A Euro-fraud who's 62-1 against other Euro-frauds is still a Euro-fraud tomato can. And Brewster blows dead bear just like the rest of today's Heavyweight division does.

Eteinne was a bum who was about to back out of the fight but was talked back into it and was told "You deserve this payday." So he went into the fight, took one shot, went down, and cashed his check.

Zags once again you show what a joke you are.

You were being a knob when you said Tyson was inactive 2 years prior to Lewis.

Stop lying and I'll stop responding to your ******ed posts.
