Tyson was signed to fight Holyfield BEFORE he attended the pageant. The deal was completed July 11th a week before the pageant. Tyson wouldn't have been training since the fight was set for November.

Holyfield-Tyson would have been the biggest financial fight in boxing history at that time. Don King was set to make alot of money from the fight as well as regain control of the heavyweight division if Tyson won (Holyfield was promoted by Dan Duva).

After Tyson was indicted, the fight was scheduled to go ahead anyway before Tyson pulled out with a rib injury in October.

Pretty straight forward. You don't need the ****in' Zapruder film for this one Roberta.
** Let me be the first to complement your writing minder for finally including some content instead of acting like a jr high internet stalker. Nice little Kaiser Karl Rove twist with the JFK insinuation. Don't learn that in history classes, it's a natural talent.

Fair points but ignorant of the point in fact. Tyson was a finely tuned and trained fighter who needed to keep busy. King doing nothing but playing a shell game. It's no accident that he ended up promoting the more stable Holyfield after swearing that Tyson didn't need Holy after the Ruddock fight. King adept at playing both ends against the middle while setting up his next string of victims.

Tyson has a string of sexual assault or paternity cases before Desiree ever crooked her pinkie his way. King knew exactly what he was doing taking him there. That little trip to Indiana cost Mike his next 5 yrs of boxing, a **** conviction, and settlement of 3 civil suits that set him back 10-20 mil, all applied to his future earnings when he gets out of jail and starts his new career as a 3 ring circus clown.

The November title fight with Holy just paper that means nothing to a sociopath like King. He also held both the contracts on Ali and Foreman after their title fight. The rematch never happened in spite of Ali claiming each was offered 5mil in his infamous Playboy interview weeks later and Ali wasn't even melting down on him like Tyson was doing.

King marches to a different drummer, sorta like you and Poppy Oz. With King, it's not about the accumulation of money, it's about conning money out of people, and then setting up more cons and on and on making wasteful use of money, but that's what hustlers do. You of course just using your minder to blow smoke.

Yeah, I think LRR is smoking weed in large quan****** LOL! This guy has demonstrated over and over again that he opposes heavy use of brain cells and preferes instead the heavy abuse of them. Did I mention he has a vendetta against Muhammad Ali? He seems to "think" his life mission is to decredit Ali's legacy as The Greatest Heavyweight of all time. It would be sad, really, if he wasn't so annoying and obnoxious.

** Ah, I see the Don't Know It Poet snores through his ignore function again.

Used to have a bit of Boozo type fun with you until you confessed to having mental misfunctions similar to that which plague Tyson. As it is, no need for me to discredit Ali as he's #2 on my all time heavy list just as he is on IBRO's list, with Joe Louis permanantly entrenched in the #1 spot. Any discredit lays deep inside your subconscious.

You're making progress though. One whole post to your credit now without mentioning Tyson, pathetic, and nuthuggers in repeated combos.

        Cheers now...........
