Roy Jones should be favored against anyone from 160-175

Well put it this way the Hagler you just described and Hearns

    Hearns hits harder
    Hearns is bigger
    Hearns is faster
Hagler is only better in chin.

    Result? Hagler KO3?
Good points. But i just see Jones more like Ray and the fight playing out more like Leonard vs Hagler than Hagler vs Hearns

Yeah i know and again let me stress the respect i have for Hagler, but i just think Roy would wins stylistically. Cotto my favourite fighter today beats guys bigger, stronger and faster than himself so i know where u guys are coming from.

The best way to counter speed is timing and Hagler's timing in his prime was impeccable and it made up for his disadvantage in speed.

In a 15 rounder do you think that Roy still wins?

Roy was so unorthadox and imaginative that he was very very difficult to time tho i do agree Timing his how u beat speed and Marvin had great timing.

15 rounds id give the edge to Hagler but i think Jones could do 15 rounds pretty good

There is no doubt Roy, would annoy Hagler throughout the early rounds. The blows would wear down Jones though and Hagler would win a TKO victory in my opinon.
Roy's tendency to fight on the ropes wouldn't help him either, when Hagler got you there, you were taking some serious punishment.

hagler was badly faded... jones wouldn't be able to move forever, sooner or later that left hand is goin to connect on jones' chin.

12 rounds - Jones can move all night. Sure a guy with skills like a Marvin Hagler is gonna connect but Roy never had any problems with his chin at those weights and Hagler was not a one punch guy, its gonna have to be sustained and i dont see it

                Just my take man

Just a thought, but if Del Valle put him down, what if the 175lb Michael Moorer got lucky?
Definitely in with a premium punchers chance, as would Stanley Ketchell.

So you agree with the title?

I was going to say Ketchel but, I think he's too crude to land any decent shots.

well I certainly don't think jones can keep on stickin and moving for 12+ rounds with hagler's pressure and jabs. Jones might look amazing for a bit at first against hagler maybe for a few rounds but I think he's going to get countered and stopped by a left hand. Hagler can take jones' shots, I don't think jones can consistenly take hagler's firepower for the whole fight.
