Can you please tell me what you know of Dempsey to lead you to believe that he is giving him too much credit?

Dempsey would fight any man, anywhere, for even the smallest amounts of money. He would sleep on park benches in new cities where he was fighting, and ride underneath a train to get there. Can you please explain what makes you believe that any fighter in history had more heart and determination than Dempsey?

No it didn't confrim anything, but is it did why would he want to fight Wills when you just said Wills had zero chance and was unworthy of a shot?

But Dempsey fought Carpentier and it said in yout link that Wills was the more formidable. Oh yeah and Firpo was so worthy right? You can pretend all you want that Wills was unworthy but the truth is, he is an atg HW and would've been Dempseys best win had he beaten him.

To be honest I got a bit carried away in this thread, at the end of the day Dempsey did not fight Wills when he definately should have, theirs an argument to be made that he was willing to and it may or may not be true but he didnt and he should be criticised for it. He also should have fought Greb. Thats the last I will speak on this subject, no disrespect here.
