Floyd was a tremendous puncher at 130 as he went up in weight as in most in cases he lost alot of power but i do agree when he sits down on his punches he has very very underrated power.

It's already been mentioned but Whitaker has very underrated power IMO. Mainly because his KO ratio is low people presume he didn't have much power but he had good power IMO, very very underrated.

Freddie Steele, often forgotten Middleweight / Welterweight legend, only man to drop Gorilla Jones and the only man to stop Vince Dundee among others, his KO ratio really doesn't do him justice.

And he's been living off that one fight for about 7 years now with only one TKO win since then. He's done very little since that fight and certainly hasn't shown himself to be a big puncher. Although he seems to keep getting undeserved title shots.

He was fighting the majority of his career in nearly every fight with badly broken hands. It's why he retired so early the first time. Johnny Lewis always said Fenech was the toughest SOB he's ever come across in boxing simply because the amount of pain he fought through in sparring, training and fighting was truly mind boggling. He wanted Fenech to retire a million times because of his hands. Had the worst hands he's ever come across in his fifty/sixty years of boxing.

He was a decent puncher when he was able to sit on them, which was not very often. He had nelson hurt pretty bad a few times in their first fight and hurting Nelson is not something that's easily done by anyone, let alone a guy with shattered hands.

Ray Leonard would probably be my choice though. Huge puncher with that left hook.

Floyd's a weird one. I don't thin of him as an underrated puncher at all really. He was thought of as a power puncher early on at 130/135 but he wasn't really a huge puncher with KO power like Roger. His speed and accuracy was his main thing always and it shocked people into knock outs basically, a bit like Jones Jr.

Guys like Roger Mayweather, Junior Jones, Pendleton, Trice etc were all massive punchers.

Mayweather is only underrated because the public didn't become familiar with him until he was at welterweight.

I think guys who box are, in general, have their power underrated, because of how they fight. As they are far more cerebral than brawlers, but look at the guys already listed, and I agree with all, such as, Floyd, Ali, Leonard, Johnson, and Whitaker. I also think Floyd Patterson fits into this category. He had great power, and many forget he knocked down Quarry, and I may be wrong but I think he was the first to do so. Eder Jofre had solid power aswell, from the footage I've seen of him. Can't forget Bernard Hopkins at 160.

As for overrated, I'd go with Pavlik, Valero as well. I love Frazier, as he had solid power, but I've seen people say he had one punch KO power, but he had accumulative power, more than one punch power.

Evander Holyfield was an underrated puncher. He could trade with anyone.

A recent guy would be Kendall Holt. Huge right hand and left hook, but just doesn't have the goods to back it up enough and make it land well and often. Man, when he does though, it's a big one. Bradley has a great chin and that first left hook that he hit him with was a pure one shot KO punch as good as it gets. Every time I see that I am truly awed by how he survived it. That shot was the perfect KO punch.

Bradley turned into it, didn't see it, was a counter shot while Bardley had his own left hook going and it hit him flush on the point of the chin. So rare for someone to get up and win a fight after that type of shot. It's why I think Bradley is one of the best fighters today. Great chin and amazing recuperative powers even from the worst shots.
