Face-up to it instead of listening to Lewis drivel, the guy was terrified of John Ruiz after getting floored in sparring by him way back in 1994 and knew he could not handle the "Grappling-Hook" style of Ruiz...

Lewis vs Byrd... what is your excuse for that fight not happening and Lewis getting stripped of the IBF belt?
I dont have excuses, it was not me fighting it was Lewis and co lol.

Are you seriously suggesting that Lewis who fought and beat Holyfield, Tyson, Grant, Briggs, Golota, Morrison, Bruno, Vitali Klitschko, Ruddock and Tua etc etc was frightened to fight John Ruiz???

As for Chris Byrd??? Jesus I mean how many fights do not come off through contractual disagreements and injuries, this was originally about Lewis and Bowe. Or should we discuss every potential fight that didn't come off?

You reasoned that because Bowe vacated and did not fight Lewis, that Lewis would've beat him.

Yep. That's my opinion. Its nothing to do with the vacation of the title. I feel Lewis would have beaten Bowe. Giving up the belt at the time to me validated what I thought.

Whether Bowe did it out of fear or for business reasons is definitely up for debate.

Hate getting into Bowe vs Lewis debates because it's been dug up, **** on and buried over and over again so many times, but actually watch the fight if you think Lewis beat him well.

The Referee was all over Bowe at any chance and gave him something like 14 (?) random warnings, Bowe was ready to continue and the ref stopped it, he didn't beat him "well" at all.

Foreman is being so over rated in this thread.

I think Foreman stops Bowe early. Too big a puncher for Bowe to trade with.

Not my recollection mate. Or the American commentator 'he did take a pounding', the corner didn't complain either?

Then maybe you should listen to the commentary again ?.

"Maybe it's a bad day for the American team, but I can not agree with that at all, those headbutts were gratuitous at best and that the stoppage was very strange, It didn't look like Bowe was in trouble at all or that the punch was particularly effective"

Bowe even said and explains why he didn't protest at the end and said that it was a premature stoppage, just because the corner doesn't do anything does not mean it wasn't premature.

What's the first video got to do with anything except showing Lewis' and Bowe's poor trash talking skills.
