Missed it. What weight was it?

Saw the Maidana fight though. I thought he would just jump on Petrov from the start and throw a million punches. He looked a little more controlled to me. Noticed that Maidana was using the jab a lot more.

well i it was in spanish so i don't remember for certain haha. terrific announcer though. technico technico technico technico technico!
      technicooooooo
      !

but i believe it was peso "super lijero" or jr WW // super lightweight

      chinos size i believe.

but i'm not really certain. i was too busy watching them knock each other down lol. it was a bonafide war with some terrific and lengthy exchanges. huge shifts in momentum too.

and chino did look very much improved
he was slipping some punches and closing the gap behind the jab.

and that power is just awesome.

you knew if chino landed a flush bomb on that guy he was going down. kudos to him for regaining his feet after some of those shots.

petrov didn't look a terrible fighter, but he was totally outgunned.

Did they really say that the African was the WBC #1 contender?

            • I want to see more of Tavoris Cloud, right now I think he beats any lightheavy in the division at the moment.

What do you guys think of cloud?

Mostly I think his career has stagnated. He definitely shows enough talent to make him worth watching. But it seems like he only fights once a year. Hopefully he's gotten rid of Don King already.

                • David Rodela, one of Pacquiao's sparring partners experienced his second loss in a row via KO in the 5 round.

Two of Pacquiao's former sparring have lost their fights Victor Ortiz and David Rodela.

Note to future readers: This commenter was wondering when typing this out if Pacquiao's former and current sparring partners have a boxing curse of losing their fights this year of 2011.

                    i really like his style

he got touched up by mack attack in his last fight but he's certainly a born ring shrinker

                    the guy comes to fight.
                    pretty fast hands too.

i think he knocks pascal out late once pascal slows down

the talks on that fight keep falling through by the looks of things, which is a shame

he's one of those guys that will probably never be in a boring fight if he's matched right

Victor Ortiz was a former Pacquiao sparring partner? How long ago was that? It surely wasn't anytime recently.
