Nobody can have the legitimate love toward Lennox Lewis that you have. It cannot be genuine, because he was a scrub.

My favorite all time is likely Ali vs Frazier 3. I enjoyed it because it was a very competitive fight, neither seemed to be able to gain much of an advantage and both were extended to near their limit.

Pretty cool when you can say that about a 38 year old fighter, eh?

          Ali-Frazier 1.

I also love The rumble in the jungle, simply for what it meant at the time, and for Ali's legacy.

ehhh, Mike would have beat him in 96-97. I would also pick him to win if they fought in 99. I agree he wasn't "at his best" which is what people mean when they say "prime." Though even in the 90's Mike was still a very good fighter and capable of beating most of the HW division. Lennox got him at just the right time, when there was literally no chance that Tyson could compete.

Yes you are correct Carlos, Lewis got him at the correct time and that time was when a Back page photograph of Mike Tyson appeared in Britains No1 daily newspaper in March 2002 it was of Mike weighing 280lbs with his trousers hanging off his ass.. Lewis then jumped at the chance to face Tyson knowing there was no way Tyson could get into fighting shape within 12 weeks.. Tyson who was desperate for money agreed to fight and spent the entire 12 weeks sat in the sauna just so that he looked respectable on fight-night, the interviews in the ring from Tyson confirmed this when he said he was not in shape and that it would have been a different result if he had the time to get into shape etc..

mike tyson ducked lewis for years....the only reason he fought him was because he was broke...tyson at his best would have done better but the same result would have happened..

Good post, dont forget that Frazier was never really the 'heavyweight champion'

                      Ali was robbed in FOTC.
