It was because we ALL believed at the time, that Frazier had a great chin, that made Foreman look so awesome.

You guys can figure out if he did or didn't. I don't have a clue.

But going into the Foreman fight conventional wisdom thought Frazier's chin was A+.

True. I just don't think Frazier's chin let him down as much as his style. Imagine a fighter who walked into Big George and took those uppers and hooks full force. It would be a suicide mission knowing what we know now.

When I look at Manila and see Ali at 225lbs down off his toes punching with a ferocity he never displayed before trying to drive Frazier through the canvas. I have to ask how many heavyweights could have taken those same punches? Just the first 3 or 4 rounds most would give it up.

Tyson? No. Foreman? No. Liston? No Dempsey? No. Marciano could probably take alot but I'm not sure gets to round 10 vs that version of Ali in those conditions.

i think it would be a close fight, and i have no idea, because i'm a big fan of both fighters. on one hand, i think Bowe won't be able to handle Frazier's power and pressure, but then Bowe had good foot movement, beastly uppercuts, good chin, could fight great on the inside and box him.
I like Bowe to win this.

I think Ali would cut Rocky to pieces.

He might put Rocky down. Marciano was dirt tough but Ali wasn't his normal self in Manila. He set a blistering pace and punched with evil intentions. I've never seen anything like it.
