Nobody is saying he's not one of the best, but the best? Come on.

I wouldnt have him at number 1 either but i don't see it as too outrageous either as you could make a case. Certainly enough of a case not to be labelled the dreaded "nuthugger"!

The combination of speed, power, accuracy etc is a pretty formidable set up isnt it?

Anyway, I'd go with the obvious choice of Louis.

The other notable for me would be Hearns.

Just in case anyone goes there - Any mention of Foreman is ludicrous in this context. Power, yes. Overall punching ability (speed, accuracy etc) - A biiiig no.

                    In no particular order:
                    Liston
                    Jackson
                    McClellan
                    Tyson
                    Hearns
                    Patterson

I would probably go with Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson or Thomas Hearns.

                      Your thoughts??
thomas Hearns. speed, power, accuracy and range.

Leonard get's a shout too, but he couldn't come close to hurting Hagler, where as Hearns did.

Robinson was a good puncher but he was wild.

Pacquiao is very wild too and forgoes defense to land punches.

                      Mayweather isn't a big puncher.

Tyson had speed power and accuracy, but had a very short reach.
