"Also why is Toney's chin listed as one of the best. I know it is, but why isnt Joe's. Joe went down only 4 times. Took some blasts from hard hitting guys, got in the ring with Eubank and Kessler, and Lacy. I mean when joe fought Lacy he was clearly much better than when lacy fought Jones and his other fights. Joe ruined Lacy. joe gets no credit from it."
Because joe never faced a serious puncher in his prime(and took some punches well). Plus he got KD by 3 past prime fighters and a nobody(SMWs, and LHs). Toney got hit by hard hitters in those HWs and CWs (Jirov fight for example). As for lacy, lol i can't believe you brought his name to the discussion. I mean the guy is an overrated bum, and he can't punch for ****.
Toney did get hit by hard hitters, Toney was good at staying on his feet, but he got hurt a lot. I am a big James Toney fan and he did get hurt quite a bit, the knock downs were the rarities. As for Lacy the guy could throw back when Joe fought him, how can you argue that he couldnt. Who did you predict to win that fight? Cause very few people predicted Cal would take Lacy. Also Kessler is a big puncher and Joe walked through those punches. Joe was standing there being upercutted and walked through them. Joe liked to fight, and put on a show, he could have beat Kessler easier, but wanted to entertain.

Joe dropping in the first round isnt a sign of being hurt, I already explained that to you. If you are going to keep bringing that up, that a past prime joe had a tendency to go down early because he didnt spar? then you might as well start considering RJJ prime. ITs the same thing. First Joe's hands went and then it took him a while to get acclamated to being hit int he face. He wasnt hurt, he got right back up.

Also, sure Toney got hit by hard hitters in the HW's...when he weighed as much as a hw. Then you clearly must think Vitali Klitschko has the best chin ever. Got hit by hard hitters in the HW's and never went down.

I know you favor Calzaghe, that's because you don't know crap about boxing, you simply look at the color of ppl skin. Start watching fights in negative occasionally, it could help your understanding of the sport.
I can guarantee I know more about boxing than you. Also, the racism thing is a bit old. So because I like a variety of fighters from all over the world...im a racist. So even though my top 10 favorite fighters include ******s, blacks, whites, euros, americans, asians, and hispanic and is a theoretical rainbow coalition of boxers...im a racist...youre a joke. Get out of here troll with your race baiting. This is a boxing forum. You want to spread hate speech there are plenty of other sites out there for you.

Look at Reed...I dont necessarily agree with everything, but the guy makes good points. Im a RJJ fan too, so I can understand where hes coming from. When he makes his points though he isnt calling me a racist, or a *** or something, hes typing his opinions. If everyone did that this board would be much better. I mean I agree, Jeff Lacy turned out to be trash, but was he always trash? or did Joe and injuries ruin him? thats up for debate in my mind.

              looooool.

Even Benn admited himself Calzaghe was better.

Eubank was at end of his career but just 33 years old.
He lost 12 rounds to Calzaghe.

Dirrell had a close fight with Froch, has no stamina but beat Calzaghe?

What the **** are you saying?

A prime Jones,Toney or Ward you can make a case, but forget the others.

Not my fault if you pick fights based on that, instead of stuff going on in the ring.

I dont care at all about a fighters race, i dont even differentiate between country of origin. I like fighters based on 3 attributes

                    1. Style: usually hitting but not getting hit
                    2. toughness: Dont have to be the toughest, this also includes willingness to get in the ring.
                    3. Personality: I dont like just one type, from stoic pre-haye klitschko's to james toney or prince naseem, it doesnt matter, if i like the personality its an "i know it when i see it standard."

As you see, race isnt on the list.

Vitali is a natural HW, toney is a natural MW, that's the difference.

I'll tell you one thing: kessler, lacy, and "shot jones" are not Prime RJJ in terms of punching power. It's not just power, it's accuracy, speed, angles, and combos. No matter how great is joe's chin he will break down sooner or later. The only reason why i'd favor jones by KO is that cal is WAY easy to hit, and trust me it ain't good to get hit by those hooks and straight. You tell me "Hey joe has a better stamina than jones and he's fast too...etc" Yes i agree joe has the better stamina but people forgot how great body puncher jones was so...
Joe would fight roy's fight in thier prime, that's for sure. So pls, cut out this whole "pace" thing.
