The question should be how would Norton fair against pre exile Muhammad Ali?

Louis was in his "prime" when he fought 185lb Tommy Farr and Arturo Godoy. The Godoy fight was a split decision, and the Farr fight was a controversial decision.

Ali lost to Norton when he was 6 years past his prime of 1966/67,and 9 years past his prime. They fought in 1973 and 1976,which is 6 and 9 years past his prime of 1966/67.

Furthermore "styles" make fights.Like 185lb Tommy Farr losing a controversial decision to a PRIME Joe Louis.Like Arturo Godoy losing a split decision to a PRIME Joe Louis.Prime Muhammad Ali never had close fights like these.Muhammad Ali would chew up and spit out Farr and Godoy.

So when you talk about the Norton fights please remember to say that Ali was 6 and 9 years past his prime when they fought. You don't see me bringing up Jersey "Joe" Walcott do you?

You forgot to mention that Ali beat Frazier 2 out of 3.You also forgot to mention that they fought AFTER Ali's 3 1/2 year lay-off.

Muhammad Ali beat Joe Frazier when he was 7 years past his prime in 1974,and 8 years past his prime in 1975.Ali's prime was 1966/67.

You want to compare Joe Louis and Joe Frazier when Louis was 4,7,and 8 years past his prime? Joe Frazier would smoke and KO a Louis past his prime this far.

Will you ever look at the context in your narrow sided posts? It's time to take off the blinders there mate.

I don't think you will find many people who would say Norton was better than Foreman at anything in the ring either.Foreman destroys Norton. But Ali still KO's Foreman.

Your debating skills are slipping my good friend.

What are you even responding to here? Norton beat li. Louis was a far better fighter than Norton. Are you arguing that?

Typical response from you when your pinned in to the corner with facts.

Remember, your the one who deviated from the thread first.I just responded to your ill fated attempt to wiggle out of the corner.

If you would stop and read my thread I was showing that George Forman was ALOT better than Norton also, but that didn't mean he would beat Muhammad Ali.Just like Louis being better than Norton doesn't mean anything when it comes to a Ali-Louis fight. Same goes with the Ali-Norton-Shavers senario.

Again, you change the subject when faced with logic and facts. In your reasoning since Tommy Farr and Arturo Godoy fought Joe Louis on even terms, they would do so against Muhammad Ali as well. Are you saying Farr and Godoy would fight Muhammad Ali on even terms?

I never said Norton was better than Louis.Just like Tommy Farr,Arturo Godoy,Max Scmeling, and Jersey Joe Walcott are not better than Muhammad Ali.

Furthermore,Louis was in his PRIME against Farr,Godoy, and Scmeling.Where Ali was 6 years past his prime in 1973 when he fought Norton, and 9 years past his prime when he fought Norton in 1976.Don't you know Ali's prime was in 1966/67 before his 3 1/2 year lay-off? Or are you more ignorant than i thought?

Stop trolling and simply answer my questions.
