If Joe Frazier could fight Ali on even terms and BEAT him, Joe Louis would to. Louis was much better than Frazier.

Stylistically, Louis is tailor made for Ali. He's criminally slow on his feet. Ali 71 [that night] was still sharp, Joe just had a magic night. Ali would run circles around Louis, probably even in his current state.

Add to that much greater punch resistance, a superior jab and outside game, and the most heart ever-Louis never beats Ali. Accept it.

what a load of horse****.......fast hands gave Ali trouble???? since when??? give me an example????

Louis power??? Foreman, Frazier, Shavers, Lyle all dropped bombs on Ali and you're expecting Louis to KO Ali???

Body punches???? no fighter in history went to the body as much as Joe Frazier and that still wasn't enough to Knock Ali out......What makes Louis's body punching so much greater than Frazier's????

If They Fought 3 times Ali would most likly win all 3 fights.....maybe Louis will get lucky and fight Ali asfter he had come back from a 3 and a half year lay off....otherwise, Louis ain't beating any version of Ali

Prime Louis wouldnt beat Ali as he is today.

Louis was good, a wonderfun run, but h2h he doesnt beat a fair few of the top guys. Slow as hell with a bad chin, well that's a good recipe against an Ali, or Holmes, or Tyson or Foreman etc.

Ali lost to Norton two years after losing to Frazier. Norton style was very similar to Louis only not as good. Now how can Norton get a win, but you give Louis no chance? That makes no sense to me.

Ali underestimated Norton by his own admission. He'd not slack against Louis. Plus Norton wasnt stylistically identical to Louis, he had that leaning style, that sway. JL was as upright as you like with D grade foot speed.

Sorry bro, JL is a legend and all but he's weaknesses play too easily into Ali's strengths. Holmes would school him too.

Well we'll have to disagree than. But Eddie Futch molded Norton to fight like Louis. I don't think you will find many people who would say Norton was better than Louis at anything in the ring.

I didnt say better, just different. But its a difference that would make a difference.
