i doubt bowe could deal with wlad's jab. obviously he's got a good shot at knocking wlad out, but otherwise he loses a boring decision.

Why don't you call out the Bowe nuthuggers that gave no reasons?
Bowe an ATG? No way!!! Not in my lifetime. This is the guy who threw the WBC belt in a dustbin to avoid a fighter. That alone ranks him under both Klits who fight anybody. And the pasting he took from Golota, slurring his words and punch drunk... hardly ATG stuff. He was also a fat bastard, always had excess fat. Not an elite athlete by any chalk. His resume is thin in truth, he avoided some of the better names of the era. Rock Newman had him well protected, until Golota.Comment

Rock Newman had him well protected, until Golota. Both Golota fights were in 96', it was hardly a Peak Bowe, if Bowe stayed in the condition he was in from 91' and 92' he would have easily become a top 10 ATG HW in my opinion.
A peak Bowe would be too strong, fast and mobile for a robotic, glass chinned Wlad I doubt this fight would go the distance.
Even if Wlads jab did cause a problem for Bowe he shown in his fights from 92 that he would gladly walk through shots to get his own in and he had a great chin, he was an amazing mid range fighter and when he would of eventually got inside it wouldn't take much for him too put Wlad down.
What people don't tend to remember about Bowe is that he had a terrific jab, sure it was no Wlad jab but it had more power behind it then Wlads and they have the same reach (81) would be more trouble for poor Klitschko.
I did give reasons, and I don't see any of the Klit nuthuggers giving reasons for how Wlad would beat Bowe apart from his jab ? which against a 92 Bowe is laughable, if you really think Bowe couldn't get past his jab you should really go watch more Bowe.
and Jab said that the Bowe in 92' was an all time great, read his post properly please.
I really don't see any scenario for Wlad winning.Last edited by NChristo; 04-11-2010, 09:00 PM.Comment

Yeah, you posted up your reasons AFTER the initial nuthugging post.
The main problem for Bowe is that Wlad has more power and a faster jab. Plus we're talking a 25 year old going in against a 33 year old with seriously more fight experience and a much bigger KO percentage, many against fighters who were ranked contenders - not journeymen or has beens. Bowe was able to control Holyfield (or at least neutralise him) on the outside and keep him from doing the kind of inside damage that Holyfield later inflicted on Tyson. No way is he able to do that against either Klit. He's out gunned imo and would have to take risks that would cost him. Bowe knew Lewis was too much a risk for the same reasons.Last edited by Capital Punch; 04-11-2010, 09:09 PM.Comment

I don't know, my friend. The '92 Bowe threw a ton of punches against Evander and was looking pretty good at the final bell. I've never seen Wlad throw that many punches before but I have seen him gas when he couldn't get a fighter out of there. Granted that this is a different Wlad than he was for Brewster, but Bowe is also much more formidable than anyone Wlad has faced as of now. On top of this, Bowe was a harder puncher than Sanders. One thing you can't train to be better in the fight game is a chin.Comment

Don't compare Holyfields style to Wlads.
No way does Wlads jab stop Bowe, Wlad would need more firepower to stop Bowe or he looses an early - mid round k.o, and even then he would have to open up more and risk Bowe getting inside and I doubt that Wlads power would beat Bowe's chin.
One uppercut and it's all over for Wlad.Comment
