I agree. However, he did pack one hell of a punch, you can't argue that. He hit harder than anybody in his division.

      nooo...

p4p it's hearns or Julian Jackson. there are a lot of harder punchers than Louis at HW.

Louis was a sharp puncher, got the job done, but guys like Foreman, Shavers, Tyson etc..will always take the top spot for HW punchers.

Louis got a lot of knockouts because of his pinpoint accuracy, he'd nail the tip of the chin with a sharp hook.

did he? he didn't fight anybody. Barrera could have stopped everyone that Hamed stopped IMO. I think it was mostly because Hamed just looked for a KO so everyone thought he was a beast.

Maybe Julian Jackson, there are guys like Ricardo Moreno or Carlos Hernandez (from Argentina) whose records indicate that they were murderous punchers and many accounts echoing that sentiment but I've never seen them KO anybody so I can't pass judgement. First guy that comes to mind though is Jackson.

gerald mcclellan was a bigger puncher than Julian Jackson.

Kind reminds of "Slow" Joe's entire resume of zombies who showed up for a payday and then hit the bar.

He could have had the chance to do so before Hamed ever did in Vuyani Bungu, unfortunately both Barrera and Morales avoided him so we may never know.

Barrera never came close to stopping Junior Jones while one of the supposed nobodies who Hamed fought was actually successful in doing so.

Junior was quick to take a rematch with Marco and also quick to duck out of fighting Naseem Hamed too.

He hit hard, but I don't think he hit the hardest. I agree his accuracy had much to do with him being such a great puncher.

I wouldnt say hardest puncher but I might say best finisher. Once he had his man hurt he was pure violence.
