he is HOF, not ATG: If he can beat Canelo, he is ATG.
Bud Crawford And His Current Standing?

I've been having a debate with another poster elsewhere, regarding where Crawford currently stands,he says he is already an ATG ,and a lock for the 1st time ballot in the HOF.
The HOF means little to me ,its a popularity contest imo,but in your opinion, is Crawford already an ATG?
If you think he is ,what wins of his have decided you of that?
Crawford is an all time great. Like him or not he is undefeated fighter with multiple defenses and 40+ fights. And just watch him, he has top drawer skills.
He faces a much bigger Canelo soon in Las Vegas with those judges. I think he will lose and will certainly lose if it is a 7-5 fight scored ( either way ) by 3rd party people who watched the fight. In boxing, bet on the cash cow especially if has been fed with " Mexican " substances.
Has he beaten another likely hall of fame fighter before? Why answer, that means little to you.👍 1Comment

I get what you are saying, but I'm not sure this fight will be as telling as you think. At least in regards to swaying your opinion of Crawford's historical status.
Both fighters are older, and relatively inactive- if a post prime, once a year fighting Crawford moves up and beats a post prime not quite as active as he used to be Canelo will that really change how you see him as a fighter? I mean compared to his career up to this point already.
I think whatever you feel about Crawford up to now should be pretty close to what you feel about him when all is said and done.Comment
